CBL: Under The Sea

A lovely purple holo from spring last year, CBL Under the Sea. I used two coats, although this polish was really opaque and pigmented well. The holo rainbow is linear, and I took a few extra shots under a different light to show it off a little better. Those two photos color accuracy is slightly off, but still pretty close! I really enjoyed wearing this one, as purple and holo are my favorite color and finish! What is your favorite color and finish?

I wore two coats with topcoat for an almost opaque look. I do enjoy a bit of a peek-a-boo nail line at times and I think this funky color makes it fun! This super bright highlighter shade will not be missed on your nails!

Care By Llarowe: Indie Pick Up November

Care By Llarowe's contribution to The Indie Pick Up for November is a clarifying shampoo and tinted lip balm.


Baddie To The Bone lip tint is a nice and bright blue leaning red. It feels like silk when applied, and seems to wear well. I don't usually wear make-up, but because of its lip balm style, I could totally see myself reaching for this.

CbL describes this as A hot pink lip balm with blue irridescent shimmer.





The shampoo is very fluid and definitely rinses out the 'greasies' from hair. I shampooed twice with this and then used my usual conditioner and other hair products. My hair felt clean and shiny.
The shampoo smells like coconut to my nose.

A dewy, dusty pale green turquoise to seafoam and vanilla, filled with holo microflake and a blue to fuschia to purple to gold shifting aurora shimmer. $1/bottle will go to benefit the Southern Poverty Law Center. I wore 3 coats for photos, formula was good no issues to report.

Inspired by Tori Amos, and her song "Take to the Sky"
a teal creme base with pink Aurora shimmer, pink/green multichrome shimmer, and linear holo pigment. $1 from every bottle sold of 'My Heart is Like the Ocean' to RAINN. I wore 2 coats for photos, formula was good no issues to report.

Native War Paints Audrey
a tri-thermal which shifts from purple to dark blue to light blue along with copper to green unicorn pee and copper shimmer. Because my nails are super short, I dunk them in ice water and quickly take the photo, thus, the third shade doesn't show well on my nails but I have seen the effect on those with much longer nails than mine. I wore 2 coats for photos, formula was good no issues to report.

Happy 4th of July: Patriotic Nail Art 2018

Happy Fourth of July!!



Looking back over my blogging years, I noticed that the last time I did 4th of July nail art was in 2010. Has it really been 8 years?



While reading what I wrote back in 2010, my review says that was my first ever nail art! And to think I have not done nail art for any other July 4th holidays in between. Where did the time go?



So, in old school "Jen" fashion, here's the deets:

For this nail art I used a variety of stamping plates, Lina Make Your Mark 03, A Fair To Remember and a small round unbranded from Aliexpress. This is the second time I've done nail art for the 4th of July Holiday. For me, this is kind of a big deal because I rarely have the time do nail art and even more rare, get to wear it.
