KBShimmer: Polish Con LEs

KBShimmer's Polish Con Limited Editions are stunning! You won't want to miss them if you're going, if not, watch her page for possible overstock online!

Bean There, Done That –Our first of two limited edition polishes for Polish Con Chicago 2017 is inspired by the chrome silver sculpture named Cloud Gate in Millennium Park. More commonly known as The Bean for its bean like shape, this sculpture reflects the sky and surroundings for a unique piece of art. Our take on the bean starts with micro holographic flakes that give this polish both a linear and scattered holographic look. We then added a touch of color shift shimmer to allow a hint of blue and pink to pop at various angles.

In love with this! It has shifting shimmer from blue to purple/pink and that holo rainbow is unbelievable! The shade of silver is bright, and almost tricks the eye into seeing white at times.

The above images are shot under regular light showing a blue shimmer in the middle of the rainbow. The below photo shows off how it shifts to a purpley shade!

This next image shows a full blown shift to a pinky/purple hue. How amazing is that?!

The Age Of Aquarium – Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium inspired our second of two limited edition polishes for Polish Con Chicago 2017. One of the area’s top attractions, it features both salt water and fresh water attractions and is one of the largest aquariums in the country. Like the deep waters of the attractions, darkened teal shade features our holo glow flakes and a fun purple shimmer like glistening fish swimming through the sea.

I have two lamps and this polish looks completely different under each of them, so I've included photos with each source. It's a shifty stunner of a polish!

The next two photos are taken under a different light source and look completely different! The shimmer here is a bright aqua and the base appears teal.

I wore two coats of each polish for opacity and the 5-free formula is fantastic. I can't choose a favorite between these, they are both simply beautiful. I think they'd work great as an accent nail for each other or perhaps some gradient or french tip style nail art. What would you create with these?

I hope you've enjoyed the review, feel free to comment or ask questions. This is my last review post until I return from Polish Con/Vacation!

Great Lakes Lacquer: Notes To Self

The Notes To Self Collection from Great Lakes Lacquer consists of four thermals, with names themed around things that Mariah needs to remind herself of sometimes. The launch will be at Polish Con September 23, at Navy Pier and later released online September 30 at 2pm Eastern.

It Can't Rain All The Time
A reminder that the sun will shine again. A sky blue thermal that transitions to pale gray with copious pink shimmer and a soft linear holo.

The Grass Is Greener For A Reason
Comparing myself to someone else does no good as I have no idea of their struggles. I must compare myself to me. A brilliant lime green saturated with gold to green shimmer and a soft linear holo that transitions to yellow gold.
Shown is two coats, formula was good.

A Rose Is A Rose. Unless it's A Peach

To Thine Own Self Be True
Finding me. Being me. Improving me. Best. Thing. Ever. A triple transition at times! A purple filled with pink shimmer with flecks of blue and a soft linear holo that transitions to a soft blue in between and a rose gold with flecks of copper.
Shown is two coats, formula was good.

That's a wrap - I hope it was enjoyable, thermals are fun to play with however; quite challenging for me to shoot because of my hot hands and short nails. I still love wearing them and have fun showing people at work how they change - it fascinates them!

September Hella Holo Customs: Glitter Daze

Glitterdaze is one of this month's brands in the Hella Holo Customs group on facebook. The other brand featured is Painted Polish. The pre-order launch will be announced in the group and you'll need to be a member of Hella Holo Customs to get the purchase links for each polish.

xoxoJen's collage of Glitterdaze HHC

Twisted Twilight
a cobalt blue jelly with pink to orange shifting shimmer with holographic micro flakes.

This is fairly sheer so I left it at two coats to demonstrate how it looks at that point. I think this might be fun to use over stamping for a stained glass look. The formula was good, no issues to report.

The Red Witch
a shimmery deep cherry red with orange/purple shifting shimmers, micro holo glitters, micro holo flakes, and some really gorgeous orange/fuchsia/magenta iridescent flakies.

Shifty witch! It looks red, it looks orange, and it looks almost pink. How in the? Shown is two coats, almost opaque in one. Formula was good, no issues to report.

Asylum
a linear holographic multichrome that shifts from pink to bronze in a forest green base. Sana picked Austen Grace's name for this polish.

In love. It's green, yet has this super coppery shimmer that tricks the eye into thinking the polish is an olive green. Shown is two coats. Formula was great, no issues to report.

Blush: Polish Con Limited Trio and Exclusive

The Magician's Trick from Blush is a Limited Edition Trio that will be available at Polish Con in Chicago September 23 along with Blush's exclusive, It's A Breeze On The Trapeze.

xoxoJen's swatch of Blush Polish Con Collage

The Magician's Trick trio is inspired by the three acts of a magic trick.
The beginning or first act called "The Pledge" where the magician shows you something ordinary.
The middle or second act called "The Turn" where the magician takes the ordinary something and turns it into something extraordinary.
And finally, "The Prestige" the third and most difficult act, where the magician brings it back, because it isn't enough to just make something disappear, right?
These are also loosely based on the Christopher Nolan film "The Prestige".
*if there are leftovers after Polish Con they will be on the Blush website, but will not be restocked or repoured.

The Pledge:
A lavender base with a red shimmer and scattered holo.

I'm in love with all three of the trio polishes. Formula is fantastic, they're all perfect in two coats and I _still_ can't gush enough about how much I love that brush. Wide but not too wide, flat, rounded on the end for a perfect cuticle line and super soft so the polish just glides on smoothly with no bald spots or streaks. I rarely ever need to do clean up either. If you have never experienced Blush, do it.

Next is the Polish Con Exclusive which is ONLY available at the Polish Con event. It will not be sold elsewhere.

It's A Breeze On The Trapeze:
A robin's egg blue based holo with a pink shimmer.
The shade was inspired by the bright sparkling circus costumes of trapeze artists.
Shown is two coats with topcoat, again perfect formula and easy peasy application.
