Bee's Knees Lacquer (BKL): You're Not Unloveable

You're Not Unloveable is shown in three coats with topcoat. Another polish from an order a while back and it's gorgeous! I love the larger particle shimmer in this! And I don't mind the nail line at all. The shimmer reflects enough that it's not really that noticeable in normal conditions, my glam lighting enhances it tho.

A Ghost is a Wish is a very pretty feminine polish with a sort of hidden secret - the purple shimmer! It is other-worldly. I wore it in three coats with topcoat and the photo was taken after almost a week of wear.

BKL's Excommunicado
a brick red polish with gold iridescent flakes and a scattering of holo flakes.

So packed with flake, ya'll! Shown is two coats with topcoat.






NOL's Noise Complaint
a glowy blue holographic with bright blue metallic micro flakies and red/gold UCC flakes.

Quite eye catching, in fact, I got a compliment on my nails while wearing it! Two coats with topcoat shown.






Kathleen and Co's Baba Yaga
a dark purple with purple/blue aurora shimmer, iridescent flakes and holo microflakies.

This purple polish is everything. Bright, sparkly, has that blue shift from the flakes. So in love! I wore two coats w/topcoat for these photos.





The formulas of each of these was very easy to work with, no clumping or dragging just smooth easy application. What do you think of this month's box?

Fandom Flakies: February 2019

This month I had the opportunity to review for the Fandom Flakies box! There are three beautiful polishes in this set. The sale goes live Friday 2/8 at noon est and ends 2/15 at 11:59pm est. There will be 3 polishes included in the box for $30.




Bluebird Lacquer's Cat Ass Trophy was inspired by the loveable sarcastic chonk, Salem! It’s a black jelly with a deep blue flakie shimmer and a smattering of multicolored flakies.

I like the way the vibrant flakes pop against the dark base!






BKL's Judge Witch-inspired by the episode with RuPaul where Sabrina must choose which Aunt to live with, this is a glowy purple with extra purple shimmer and a rainbow of iridescent flakes.

It's like blackberry juice with shimmer and flake! Loving this shade!






NOL's You're a Witch - This was inspired by the pilot episode and it is a bright blue with a green/blue/purple shift, silver flakes, 2 different shades of shifting crystal chameleon flakes and a dusting of holo micro flecks.

Very vibrant turquoise, packed with sparkle!





Each polish is shown in two coats with KBShimmer Clearly on Top topcoat. Formula for each was good, no issues to report.

Bee's Knees: Throne of Glass series

Bringing you three flakie polishes today, of which I was unfamiliar with their names so I did a bit of research. These are derived from the Throne of Glass series written by Sarah J. Maas.

-Manon Blackbeak-a deep red with ghost flakes, the larger flakes that shift red to gold to green, similar to UP.

Such a squishy, deep, dark, true red. In person, it was actually slightly darker than the photos show. It looks like candy - and those flakes!
Two coats/topcoat.






-Abraxos-inspired by Manon's wyvern Titus, this is a charcoal polish with ghost flakes, the larger flakes that shift red to gold to green, similar to UP.

I love me a grey crelly with flash! The flakes in this are subtle until the light hits them, then blam! There they are.
Two coats/topcoat.






-The Thirteen-a blackened blue loaded with UP and ghost flakes, the larger flakes that shift red to gold to green, similar to UP.

Woo! What a vampy UP polish! It is definitely teal. Shown in two coats really darkens it. This would be a bit lighter if layered over a lighter shade of teal. Quite versatile, and look at the green flash!






The formula for each of these was good - smooth and easy to apply. I especially enjoyed Abraxos from this set!

Bee's Knees 1/1 Release

Unicorn pee, flake, aurora, these polishes by Bee's Knees have it all! Choose a fave or get them all - they launch on 1/1/2019 at Bee's Knees online webshop. Not only is the bottle new, the logo is new and the brush inside is new. The brush is fantastic, as mentioned in my other review.




-Tahoe Tessie is Terrifying-an aqua polish with OG UP and ghost flakes, the larger flakes that shift the same color as OG UP

I love a nice clean looking aqua shade, and this one has a squishyness to it, don't ya think?

-Jersey Devil Totes Ma Goats-a grape based polish with indigo sibling UP and iridescent flakes that shift pink to orange and green to purple.

Purple flake? Yes please!

-Mothman is Lit-a black based polish with red to green Aurora shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift from orange to red to purple.

So mysterious and vampy!
Shown in two coats with topcoat. However, one coat was fairly opaque and could do in a pinch.







-Monarch Butterfly Wing-a bright orange polish with green to blue sibling UP

Most vibrant orange jelly! This could totally be used in a pond mani, or as a topper over your favorite cream in the same color family. Join the BKL fan group and see how those look!

Showing the red shift here - in this base it appears pink! How cool is that?




Hail Satin! top coat is also new to the hive for January. I love how it has a satin style finish. Below is each of the above shades topped with this new topcoat!
