Y2K Get ready to dust off your butterfly clips and find your favorite velour tracksuit, because we are heading back to the turn of the millennium! This month, Polish Pickup is celebrating the Y2K Comeback, and the nostalgia in this collection is hitting all the right notes.

If you aren't familiar with how Polish Pickup (PPU) works, it is the ultimate monthly "one-stop shop" for indie lovers. The platform brings together hundreds of limited-edition products from different makers all in one place. You can shop from dozens of different brands but only pay one shipping fee, which makes it a great way to try new makers alongside your favorites.

The shop opens for pre-order on January 2nd. While there will be hundreds of polishes, scrubs, and hand-care items available on the site, I have a few beautiful highlights to share with you today from KBShimmer and LynB Designs.

Blockbuster - Blockbuster is a nod to the movie stores of yesteryear. This ultramarine blue nail polish is loaded with shimmer, for a shade worthy of a starring role in your collection. A yellow-to-gold shifting shimmer shines in the light, while changes in angle reveal hints of lime. Bolder lighting brings out stronger orange-gold tones and highlights the micro holographic sparkle. Two coats provide coverage for most.




Love Spell - Love Spell hand and body scrub is a beloved scent for many, beginning with fresh citrus notes of orange and clementine blended with hints of peach. Floral notes of cherry blossom and white jasmine mix with base notes of musk and apple for an alluring fragrance you’re sure to love. 400 Cap




Stay Put - Achieve a long-lasting manicure with KBShimmer Stay Put Hydrating Base Coat. This base coat not only helps your polish stay in place but also hydrates your nails. Formulated to protect against yellowing and staining, the Stay Put Hydrating Base Coat features lush ingredients like prickly pear extract and seaweed. Apply it before your polish to create a protective layer that locks in moisture. Vitamin E helps prevent oxidation and keeps your nails hydrated from within.
If you're looking for a holy grail basecoat, try this one! It is definitely mine because it adheres polish like iron. It's also very affordable.

All of my swatches are shown in two thick coats with topcoat and had no formula issues unless otherwise stated. All photography uses a neutral color temperature bulb with white bounce card. My nails are natural with no enhancements and no blurring/cream base, I have a fairly prominent VNL.

Hella Handmade Creations: October 2025 (part 2)

Magic Grits! - is a pearlescent white polish is loaded with scattered holo and iridescent flakes, bringing a little courtroom magic to your fingertips.




Puppies Are Forever - has a soft, cheerful pink shimmer base, glowing with warmth and charm, with a small helping of linear holo dances across the surface like twinkling Christmas lights. Playful yet elegant, this shade is a reminder that love, like puppies, is forever.




Puppies Are Forever underneath Magic Grits is such a show stopper! Get them both and layer them like this!




Blue Spruce - has a darkened turquoise base with green shimmer and linear holo.

From snuggling up with a soft blanket to the fun and trickery of the Halloween season in the new "I Keep Falling" collection. Azure Wish - a strikingly vibrant azure blue magnetic multichrome nail polish. With changes in viewing angles and lighting, aqua, indigo, purple, and even near-navy hues come out to play. Intensely pigmented for velvet-style magnetic nails, Azure Wish also looks stunning with zig-zag or other magnetic styles.




Blanket Statement - a purple jelly nail polish with raspberry undertones. A scattering of fuchsia reflective glitters comes alive in light and with flash, adding a fun glittering effect. Color-shifting flakes steal the show, flashing from pink to gold, to orange and lime, for a shade that will enthrall you. Shown with Smooth Moves Glitter Topper and a coat of Clearly On Top quick-dry topcoat.




Candy-Do Attitude - a raspberry jelly flake polish. Beautiful flakes shift from blue to purple, orange to gold, to almost red, with added deep black flakes. This jelly shade builds beautifully for a bold look. Shown with Smooth Moves Glitter Topper and a coat of Clearly On Top quick-dry topcoat.




Constellation Prize - a bold and shimmery cobalt blue glitter nail polish. Like stars in the sky, mini silver hex holographic glitters float in the base, catching the light for an enchanting twinkle. Larger silver dots mimic stars, creating out-of-this-world sparkle. If lucky, you may catch a crescent moon, but if not, don’t worry, each polish includes a mini bag with holo silver full and crescent moons for easy nail art placement. I placed a few crescent moons and then topped with Smooth Moves Glitter Topper and a coat of Clearly On Top quick-dry topcoat.




Heated Up - a flame-like magnetic nail polish that dances with rich, warm colors. Bold near-red-orange and auburn hues vibrantly seem to move, while gold and green appear with different lighting and viewing angles. Intensely pigmented for velvet-style magnetic nails, Heated Up also looks stunning in 2 coats with zig-zag or other magnetic styles.




I’ll Bewitch You Shortly - an enchanting reflective and shifty nail polish made to twinkle and shine with magnetic properties. When worn without a magnet, an indigo-to-blue-to-midnight shift sets off magical pink sparks that shift into orange and gold. In brighter light or under flash, silver reflective glitter comes out to play, amping up the blue shade (not shown). When used with a magnet, the black background sets off the sparks and the purple-to-blue shift of the magnetic pigment. Wear without topcoat for a fun textured look (the maker’s favorite). Shown with a coat of Smooth Moves Glitter Topper and a coat of Clearly On Top quick-dry topcoat in both velvet and zig-zag magnetic styles.




In A Pickle - a vibrant green multichrome shade that features shades of warm gold, green, hints of orange, deep blue, and near-navy hues.




It’s Crunch Time - an autumn leaf–inspired mix of metallic hex glitters in a clear base. Shown with a coat of Smooth Moves Glitter Topper and a coat of Clearly On Top quick-dry topcoat. Can also be worn as a topper over your favorite cream.
