KBShimmer for Polish Pick Up: The One Soul

The Polish Pick Up theme for September is Horror Movies, and KBShimmer brings us a thermal polish inspired by Constantine.

The One Soul
A hauntingly muted mint green base that leans blue-gray sparks of shimmery turquoise and a hint of holo sparkle. Giving a nod to the horror aspect of the film, this shade is thermal and changes from a deep midnight to near black depending on how cold your hands are. This shade is best in 2-3 coats depending on nail length.
No cap.

I wore two coats with KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat. Horror movies aside, this would make for a fun Christmas or St. Pat's day mani!

Get your bottle of The One Soul on September 3rd-6th.

1850 Artisan: The 13th Doctor

1850 Artisan has easily become a favorite. I always look forward to seeing what Nikki will create next. Coming August 18th at 10:00am Central, The 13th Doctor, a collection you won't want to miss!

She’s the Doctor
an intense linear holographic blue polish that is a nod to the Doctor’s favorite mode of transportation.

Wowza! The holo in this is insane, ya'll. It has that purpley flame that's lit from within and just seems to glow. It can even be seen in low light situations. I wore two coats, but one coat could be used in a pinch and no one would be the wiser. If you have not seen Nikki's video in her fan group, def give that a look!

Oh, Brilliant!
a shimmering multichrome that shifts primarily between purple, pink, and gold with green at extreme angles. It is packed with a stunning collection of aurora shimmers and a tiny touch of micro holo shimmer that enhances its sparkling shifts.

Hold on to your seat because this one is a wild ride! The shifts were really easy to capture in photos and there are so many more variants that I could have shot many more photos. You'll just have to get this one to see for yourself. Two coats shown.

Regenerate
This duochrome flakie thermal transitions from white with purple/fuschia shifting flakies when warm to a blue to purple shifting duochrome with coordinating flakies when cold.

The shifty pigment in this is so neat looking under my lighting. Where the light shines brightest is different from the rest of the nail, plus it's thermal and has flakes. Legit. Two coats shown.

Would You Be My New Best Friends?
Copper shimmer and aurora pigments throughout a blurple base with coordinating flakies make this polish a glowing, shimmering masterpiece.

The copper shimmer under the purple jelly gives it a reddish shimmery glow and the flakes add pops of color. Two coats shown.

This Is Gonna Be Fun
a complex silver scattered holographic with periwinkle undertones and purple to red shifting shimmer.

If you haven't checked out the fan group yet, there's a swatch wheel and boomerang video that I shared where this polish is used as a topper. Two coats shown here.

The Key to the Universe
a dusty multichrome that shifts between rose, mauve, lilac, and gold with gold microflakes and a light touch of holo microflakes.

Do you like rose gold shades? You might love this one! It has a subtle shift to a light purple hue! Very shiny and sparkly, two coats shown.

KBShimmer: Throwback Collection

KBShimmer is excited to be celebrating their 10th year in business this month. They are doing something a bit different: releasing a throwback collection of 8 fan favorites from 2012 and 2013. They are also offering their show special bag sale with the throwback collection launch at 11pm Central, August 14.

The collection consists of eight polishes that were remade this year with updated recipes; very close to original but better!
I'm wearing two coats of each polish unless otherwise stated, the formula for each was really good. No pulling or clumping, consistency of the base stayed where I put it. If you didn't try the originals before, now's your chance!

Berry Patch (2012) – This polish was inspired by a fresh berry smoothie that Christy's daughter loves. A creamy pink base with blue undertones sets off a scattering of large blueberry hex glitter, small raspberry hex glitter, holographic pink glitter and micro strawberry red glitter and raspberry pink glitter. Bits of ice, in the form of holographic sliver glitter complete this yummy treat.

No Whine Left (2012) – A deep plum, almost burgundy wine color, this polish is loaded with blue, aqua, fuchsia, and purple hex glitters in several sizes. The glitters pop out in different lights, adding depth to thiscrelly polish.

Band Geek (2012)- Like Christy, I was a band geek. I also played the flute! Band was a an important part of my life and when I first saw Band Geek in 2012, I bought it! Band Geek has a black jelly base to represent the oboe and clarinet, several sizes of silver, copper, and gold to capture the flutes, horns, drums, and the rest of the band.

Clown Puke (2012) – Inspired by the color, fun, and wonder of a circus, Christy created a glitter bomb polish named Clown Puke! Packed with glitter in a variety of colors and shapes, each batch will be slightly different. I wore one coat over two coats of Pretty Serious Presence. I didn't fish for or place any of the glitter, what you see on the nail is how it landed from the brush. I added a coat of Gelous and finished with KBShimmer Clearly on Top topcoat for a glassy shine.

Shipwreck (2012) – Ships lost at sea, churning waters, mythical creatures and lost treasures inspired this polish. The base is a deep blue green jelly, with several sizes of hex glitter in teal, blue, green, and purple. A hint of gold, and a pop of copper sparkle like hidden treasure add depth to this polish.

Elle (2012) - Elle is the nail polish elephant from the 2012 Circus Collection. A pale grey jelly color with a variety of pink, white, and grey glitters that result in a polish that is soft and beautiful.

Iris My Case (2013) – Inspired by Iris, Lilacs, and Violets, this polish begins with a soft purple crelly base. It is filled with small glitters in pink, purple, white, periwinkle and blue.

Teal Another Tail (2013) - A dusty teal green polish with a strong pink almost duo-chrome shimmer, just like a mermaid’s tail might look! Micro holographic glitters add shine and sparkle. Dries with a matte finish or top it for a glossy look.
