HPB Presents: Valentine's Day Mani Link Up!

The Hobby Polish Blogger's group that I am a member of is at it again with another link up! This time, Valentine's Day manis. I hope your Valentine's day is special!

First is a mani of roses and lace stamped with Mundo de Unos stamping polish and Vivid Lacquer plates on top of Black Dahlia Capital Rose Garden.



Next is hearts and fishnets stamped with Mundo de Unos stamping polish, Vivid Lacquer and Bundle Monster plates on top of Blue-Eyed Girl Cuts In My Heart which also has Sweet Heart Polish Josh layered over it, beneath the stamped design.



Third is all flowers! I started with Literary Lacquers Laughs in Flowers and stamped it with a flower design from Bundle Monster plates in a layered pattern with Konad Black, Blue-Eyed Girl Cuts In My Heart, and Pop-arazzi Glam Factor.



Lastly is a black lace design stamped with Konad Black and Vivid Lacquer plate designs over a technique called watercolor that I learned in the Simples group on facebook.

She's doing a special mani for the Hobby Polish Bloggers' holiday link up!

Hobby Polish Bloggers is a group of nail bloggers on Facebook. We're a diverse group who help each other discover new ways of getting the blogging done, sharing feedback when asked, and growing our friendships inside and outside the group. The theme for December is Holiday manicures. I've created some nail art to share some of my holiday memories!

The first nail reminds me of the snowstorm a few years ago on Christmas Eve when Jason and I ended up spending the night at my mom's because there was so much snow, we couldn't even back out of the driveway.

The second nail is Santa's suit which reminds me of Christmas's past when my grandpa would dress up in the Santa suit my grandma made for him. He'd hand out presents to my sister and I every Christmas.

The third and fourth nails are a Christmas tree and a gift, which are always a part of our holidays - past, present and future.

HPB Oct. Halloween Mani Link-Up

I'm a member of the Hobby Polish Bloggers group on Facebook. We're doing monthly link-ups, and the theme for October is Halloween! I've prepared a few nail art manicures with stamping and a even touch of freehand on two of them!
(The Simples group is really helping give me the confidence to try more free-hand nail art!)

For this look, I used Sweet Heart Polish Rad!, that I recently reviewed, as the base color. I then stamped it with spiders and webs from the Vivid Lacquer plate VL013. Spooky? Creepy?




Next, I tried capturing the feel of eery night skies filled with bats and different phases of the moon. The base is a sponged gradient of two Darling Diva polishes - Early Riser and Tina the Labradorite. The bats are stamped with Vivid Lacquer plate VL013 and the moon is freehanded with a mixture of Zoya Dove and Sweet Heart Polish Bitchin for a greyed out yellow moon effect.
