As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, a shiver of excitement sends a jolt to my fingertips. It's that magical time of year when pumpkin spice everything reigns supreme, spooky decorations adorn every corner, and the nail polish world unleashes its most enchantingly eerie creations! Get ready, because It is time for Polish Pick Up's PPUWeen! This month, indie brands have conjured up bewitching limited-edition polishes, and I've got a cauldron full of swatches to share!




Ghosted Nail Polish - You know the feeling—the chill down your spine, the hair on your arms standing up as you slowly turn around to look...but no one is there. Could it be a hitchhiking ghost? A wandering spirit we were warned might try to escape as we left, or worse, keep someone with it? All I know is, there may be room for one more...but it’s not going to be me!




Apple Honey Cider Hand & Body Scrub - As the brisk fall air starts to push summer aside, let the cozy scent of apple cider keep those warm thoughts going for a bit longer. Sweet notes of honey and vanilla bean provide a rich base for the bright, crisp aroma of apples. Cinnamon stick and clove add just the right touch of spice—not too much, just enough to make you think of a freshly poured mug of cider warming your hands.




The Ghoul Next Door- Forest green to pale pink thermal base with peach to gold to green to blue shifting shimmer




All of my swatches are shown in two thick coats with topcoat and had no formula issues unless otherwise stated. All photography uses a neutral color temperature bulb with white bounce card. My nails are natural with no enhancements and no blurring/cream base, I have a fairly prominent VNL.

Dream Escape - Brought back from August of 2023 as voted on in the H & P fan group. A deep violet holo based polish with orange/gold shifting shimmer. (Available at the PPU shop)




Once Upon A Starry Night - A blackened blue base with sapphire shimmer and holo pigment. (Available at heartsandpromises.com, U.S. orders with this polish get free shipping, use code PPUREWIND)




Dudley Nudshite - deep berry jelly base filled with green to blue shifting shimmer
Inspired by deadly nightshade and what Jennalyn accidentally called it one time, and it stuck as a new name for the plant. (Available at PPU shop)




It’s a Fall-Nomenon- berry leaning purple base filled with red to orange to gold shifting shimmer- inspired by the leaves changing colors in the fall. (Available at LynB Designs website)

KBShimmer - A Real Ore Deal – 800 cap

Bornite is stunning to behold. Its rich hues of aqua, blue, purple, and gold all sparkle like rare jewels. Nicknamed Peacock Ore, this stone lives up to its colorful name. When magnified, it becomes even more enchanting, showing off iridescent colors and rich gold-toned flecks that inspired KBShimmer's March polish, A Real Ore Deal.

A Real Ore Deal is a teal to blue multichrome. In bright light, stunning gold-toned flakes accent a vibrant aqua-to-teal shade. Changes in angle and lighting bring forth true blue, navy, and purple hues, echoing the colors in Peacock Ore.




KBShimmer Blue Sage & Berry Hand & Body Scrub – 400 cap

If science itself had a scent, I imagine it would echo the traits of scientists and discoverers. The thirst for knowledge and the daring nature to experiment are represented by wild herb and fruit notes. The steadiness needed to work through a hypothesis is expressed by grounding earth scents. A hint of fresh air pays homage to the curiosity to explore the world around us. Yes, if science were a scent, I believe this one would be it.

Blue Sage & Berry Hand & Body Scrub is a freshly scented scrub that starts with notes of lush blackberry and wild sage. Rich and earthy notes of oakmoss and woody herbs add depth and complexity to this alluringly sweet fragrance. A creamy, sugar-filled base is accented with a blue swirl and a fun science-themed label. LynB Designs: A Little Ranunculus - no cap
A teal to pale yellow thermal with pink to red to orange shifting flakies and scattered magenta to orange to green shifting UCC flakies. Inspired by a buttercup under 400x magnification
