b.i.t.c.h. by Jaclyn: Family Jewels Collection

New from b.i.t.c.h. by Jaclyn is the Family Jewels Collection. It consists of six holographic polishes packed with iridescent flakies and four micro glitter texture polishes. Each of which is simply stunning!

Queen Bitch is a fandango pink/purple holo with purple iridescent flakies. In person, this one seems just a hair darker than my images, more of an orchid shade.

Every one of the holo flakies have a fantastic formula that's easy to control and allows time to smooth out each coat perfectly without pulling. I used two coats for most of these, except for Royally Fucked, which needed one additional coat to cover vnl. Sofa King was opaque in one coat, but I used two out of habit.

The next four polishes in this entry are glitter polishes and they have really impressed me. They're micro glitter texture polishes but what makes them really stand out is that three of them are completely opaque in just ONE coat! And they're also metallic, which I've not seen yet in the realm of texture polishes. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but for me, they're unique and I absolutely love them! Jewel encrusted nails without the bulk? Yes please!

Her Royal Kiss-Ass is a smokey purple-leaning taupe micro glitter. Completely opaque in one coat and is a texture polish if worn without topcoat. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I was swatching the very last color or I would have taken photos with and without topcoat to show them off both ways. To the touch, they feel just like the pixie dusts from Zoya. I love that texture and these are all super sparkly. SO IN LOVE!

Sparkle Queen is a royal purple micro glitter texture. Beautifully done, don't ya think?

Get Your Own Damn Tiara is a super bright silver texture polish. I used two coats for this one. Maybe because it's a lighter color and in a clear base rather than a tinted one like the others. It might be a one coater if a thicker coat is used, but you can also layer this over a cream or holo color for a different look! I just tried layering it over Queen Bitch and it almost looks like a shifting polish. The Queen Bitch color peeks through the glitter at an angle, but straight on, it pretty much looks like solid silver. Pretty neat!

King me, bitches! is a champagne gold micro glitter texture, I think this would be perfect for Christmas time or New Years. I love the light shade of this one, super wearable even on warmer skin tones.

This is my second b.i.t.c.h. by Jaclyn review, and I have to say I'm quite impressed with all of the polishes so far. I love her new brand name and logo. Speaking of which...I just found out she has a Go Fund Me page set up for the relaunch and one of the donation levels allows you to get an exclusive purple holo polish! If you're interested, here's the link to her Go Fund Me page!

The Family Jewels collection launches at 8pm Central on Monday November 3, at http://www.bitchbyjaclyn.com/.

I love them all, but my favorite colors are Queen Bitch, Her Royal Kiss-Ass, Sparkle Queen, and Family Jewels.
Which are your favorites from this collection?

HPB Oct. Halloween Mani Link-Up

I'm a member of the Hobby Polish Bloggers group on Facebook. We're a diverse group of bloggers who help each other discover new ways of getting the blogging done, give each other feedback when asked, and grow our friendship inside and outside the group. Each and every lady in our group is special, we're very supportive of each other and we each contribute in different ways.

We're doing monthly link-ups, and the theme for October is Halloween! I've prepared a few nail art manicures with stamping and a even touch of freehand on two of them!
(The Simples group is really helping give me the confidence to try more free-hand nail art!)

For this look, I used Sweet Heart Polish Rad!, that I recently reviewed, as the base color. I then stamped it with spiders and webs from the Vivid Lacquer plate VL013. Spooky? Creepy?

Next, I tried capturing the feel of eery night skies filled with bats and different phases of the moon. The base is a sponged gradient of two Darling Diva polishes - Early Riser and Tina the Labradorite. The bats are stamped with Vivid Lacquer plate VL013 and the moon is freehanded with a mixture of Zoya Dove and Sweet Heart Polish Bitchin for a greyed out yellow moon effect.

What will you be wearing on your nails this Halloween?

Sweet Heart Polish: Neons with a kick!

Sweet Heart Polish launched a really cool set of six neons this summer and each one of them has either flakies or shimmer. They're really pretty and slightly sheer so they'd make a good polish to use for leadlighting or most of them are opaque in just three coats. The best part? Since summer is ended, these are retiring which means they're on SALE!! (through Saturday)

Stoked is the first one I swatched, and also my favorite of the bunch. It has a depth and shine like a piece of candy and is the most vibrant neon raspberry flakie.

Amped is a a coral leaning pink packed with golden shimmers. This particular neon shade not color accurate in my photos, I got as close as I could. Think of a brighter more neon pink that leans a little bit coral due to the shimmers added in. The skirt in this photo is very very close to accurate for the color of this polish.

Wipe Out is a vivacious blue flakie.

xoxoJen's swatch of Sweet Heart Polish Wipe Out

These last three shades, I wore over a white cream base so I could hide the nail line while shooting under bright lighting as these three are a bit more sheer than the first three shades.

Bitchin is a really bright lemon yellow filled with coral shimmer. The bright studio lights washed out the shimmer in my photos but trust me, it's there and it's gorgeous!

Gnarly is a flakie packed shade in between chartreuse and lime. Love it!

And finally there's Rad!, this orange packs a punch and will wow you with it's flakies!
