Spy Princess Nail Lacquer

Products provided for review.

I just love it when companies take care to package their polish up like a gift. Its a fun surprise to open and for me, it speaks volumes about the company. She even enclosed a handwritten note. Spy Princess has packaging down to a science!

When I was asked to review these polishes, I mentioned to Chrissy that my favorite colors were blues, browns, purples and greens. She doesn't have a purple polish in her shop, but she added purple to the package and I like to think she did that just for me! And aren't the little polish burritos cute all tied up with a shiny bow?

Left to right: Covenant, High Society, and Cloak & Dagger. I'll be using the shop's descriptions for each polish below.

Cloak & Dagger is a mysterious Navy Blue / Black shimmer, with small gunmetal and black glitters, superfine platinum glitter and micro bar-type glitter (slices).

I wore two coats over Illamasqua Phallic. Its so packed full of shimmer that I think it would be opaque enough to wear on its own. (shop says 2-3 coats for opacity!) I'm not usually very fond of bar glitter but this kind is so tiny and cute! I didn't have any issues with it sticking out or curling up.

Covenant is a stunning, sinister emerald green, black, silver holo and gold glitter bomb in a forest green jelly base.

I wore one coat of Covenant over China Glaze Jolly Holly and it was the perfect matching shade of green! I've been using chunky glitters for such a long time now that I had kind of forgotten the beauty of fine and micro glitters. This is certainly a stunner! I just may be pulling this one back out in the fall or around Christmas time. It was beautiful!

Lastly, my favorite of the three: High Society
High Society is Spy Princess's favorite shade to date! This is just a stunning light cerulean / turquoise blue shimmer "crelly" polish (jelly + creme hybrid).

This polish looked like my childhood backyard pool glistening in the summer sun! What memories!! The crelly has such depth and the shimmers and holo glitters are just the right amount to glisten like pool water when the sun shines on it. I wore this over Sinful Colors Sugar Rush, but her shop page shows it as opaque in three coats and I think it would be even prettier that way!

Spy Princess Nail Lacquer is handmade and may vary slightly between batches. All polishes are 15ml and 3-free. I did find them to have a strong odor, but I actually kind of like that! ^.^ Spy Princess is running a free shipping promo right now, so all you pay for is the polish!
