Grape Escape
a purple crelly filled with gold to red colour shifting shimmer, and iridescent colour shifting flakes in pinks, greens, and golds.
Great formula, shown in two coats with topcoat. I love the sparkle and shifting flake in this.

Contrary Polish: North Halsted

Another polish from my camera reel that dates back to the very first Polish Con!
Meeting Carrie and Gene was surreal and their limited edition polish from Chicago 2016 is beautiful.

North Halsted is a bronze linear holo with holo and antique gold microflakes. The polish was inspired by the rainbow pylons in the Chicago neighborhood Boystown.
I wore two coats with topcoat, formula was good.

Bottled Concord - A purple holo with silver micro glitter & purple/blue ucc flakies
This may very well be my favorite purple of the year. It's vibrant, berry leaning, has a strong holo, and looks amazing!

I wore two coats of each polish, formula for all three was excellent - smooth, buttery and easy to apply. Wear time was fantastic for Bottled Concord, I wore it 7 days without a chip! I didn't wear test the other two, but I'm sure they will last nicely too.

You can get yours on July 1st, at 12pm EDT at http://www.turtletootsiepolishes.com/.

KBShimmer: Polish Con NYC Exclusives

Who’s ready to see KBShimmer Polish Con exclusives? We Make Your Dreams Come Blue & Grand Prospect Holo are both beautifully shifty polishes only available at Polish Con NYC April 29th.

Grand Prospect Holo
An amazing multichrome that shifts from a dark teal to bright aqua to purple to navy and at some angles and dimmer lighting you can see a reddish-bronze shade. It’s packed with holo microglitters resulting in a super sparkly shifty manicure that looks different every time you look at it.

I wore just two coats and although it is mostly smooth to the touch, I added topcoat to seal it in and give a glossy shine. I enjoyed wearing the polish for about a week, turning heads here and there. The polish really did a number on my camera, so I took a few shots that are oddly lit, but really show off a bit of how the polish shifts. For reference, the first shot of each pose is taken in my usual lighting.

We Make Your Dreams Come Blue
An icy blue jelly base loaded with holographic microflakes and stunning turquoise shimmer. This polish just glows from within, which is why its my favorite of the two here. I wore two coats with topcoat for a glossy shine.

Literary Lacquers: The Raven trio

After the success of our collaboration polish Soul Within Me Burning, from the inaugural Color Box, Amy and I decided to make a few more polishes inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem, The Raven.

The design of my collaboration polish came from a franken I made many years ago which was inspired by looking through my bathroom picture window at night. It's one of those textured glass windows and through it the orangey streetlight looks like glitter against the blackened night sky. Below is my best attempt at capturing it.

The name of the polish comes from the following section of the poem. I chose it because this is the section where he gets up to look out the window.
"Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;--
'Tis the wind and nothing more!"

And This Mystery Explore - A smoky grey crelly packed with holographic copper and orange holographic microglitter and shimmer.
I wore two coats of this polish with a topcoat. It is super sparkly and rainbow glitter filled! The polish is quite smooth to the touch before topcoat.

Sweet Lenore - A bronze metallic linear holo with just a touch of grunge. I wore two coats with topcoat. If applied in a heavy manner one coat just might do it. Amy designed this polish and it's name is derived from the eight mentions of Lenore within the poem, each of them implying that she is 'sweet'.

Each of the polishes will release on October 17 at 1pm Central time.
Or get all three as a trio at a discounted price! (And This Mystery Explore, Sweet Lenore, and Soul Within Me Burning)

Vapid: Spellcaster

Vapid Spellcaster was a long time lemming of mine, having passed it up the first time it was available for sale in the HHC facebook group. The HHC group relaunched it not too long ago and I was able to get a bottle! So here it is, quite a shifty wench and very stunning in full sunlight. I wore two coats with topcoat and it has lasted without chipping for about seven days. I love the wear time on Vapid polishes!

xoxoJen's swatch of Vapid: Spellcaster

The polish looks bronze most of the time but upon closer inspection, the shifting pigment, flakies and holos are quite apparent.
