Painted Sabotage: Poisonberry and Shall We Go

Two beautiful holos from Painted Sabotage today! A beautifully reddened berry and grape-tacular purple! The holo in these is strong and brilliant indoors and out. The formula of each is smooth as butter, as I've come to expect from PS. Definitely one of those brands you may not hear a lot about, but is stellar in every aspect. If you haven't tried PS, now's the time!

Painted Sabotage: Holiday Cheer and The Mermaid's Song

Painted Sabotage makes beautiful polishes with excellent formula, but I don't see them on many blogs or talked about as much as other indies. All I can say about that is you guys are missing out! If you haven't tried PS, you definitely should!

Holiday Cheer is a colorful topper packed with various shapes and sizes of glitter. Here I've worn it over a periwinkle holo from Literary Lacquers called There is Your Treasure. I love how these pair with each other! The glitter on the nail that you see in the photos is what you get in two coats with no special effort. I haven't noticed any sinking in the bottle either. I topped with a coat of gelous and then my usual topcoat to smooth.

The Mermaid's Song is a beautifully done turquoise crelly with a sprinkling of dot and hex glitters. It's bright and summer-like hues remind me of pool-side fun and sunshine! The formula did not streak or clump up at all. Very fluid and easy to control on the nail. I wore two coats with topcoat for photos.

Painted Sabotage

I have been enjoying wearing Painted Sabotage polishes lately. If you haven't tried this brand, give it a shot - she's having a sale that I'll share at the end of the review.

Ice Flowers is the perfect snowy winter polish. With it's collection of different size white and periwinkle blue glitters surrounded by a light wintery blue base with a hint of shimmer.
I wore two coats with topcoat and it's such an interesting polish - it almost looks like the tips of my nails are more blue than the rest, the way a thermal might act but this isn't a thermal. Pretty cool illusion!

Storyteller is a neutral brown polish with different shades and sizes of light and dark brown and copper glitters.
Wearing this polish was kind of luxurious feeling! Is it a silken scarf beaded by hand from a far off land, or perhaps a rich creamy latte with swirls of golden flake sugar? I loved it and didn't want to take it off. I think I wore it for about a week! Two coats for opacity and a smooth creamy formula.

Zaphod's Ego is a dark gold base with a light shimmer with different sizes of dark purple, red and gold glitters, also gold holo squares and last but not least gold dots! Only the best for Zaphod!
This polish may not look fancy at first glance, but check the macro shot. It is FULL of shimmer! It glistens and sparkles like crazy, it's just super difficult to photograph. I wore two coats but it could probably use one more coat to reach full opacity under bright lights. I'm sure it'd be gorgeous worn over a cream polish too. Love those purple glitters in it!

Painted Sabotage: Caution I Stop for Shinies

Caution I Stop for Shinies is a combination of super sparkly gold and pink glitters in clear base. I wore two coats and it was opaque all on its own. This can be worn in just one coat over a base color if you prefer. The formula was fantastic as well - not goopy or thick and glitter easily loaded onto the brush without digging or redipping.

I think will make a great holiday polish! What are you wearing for the holidays?

Painted Sabotage: Gargle Blaster

Another awesome polish from Painted Sabotage! This one is called Gargle Blaster and reminds me of a polish lemming I once had and finally scored. Chrissy drew her inspiration from Nerd Lacquer and I think she did a fantastic job with this! The formula is perfect, smooth, glides on easily and is opaque in two coats.

xoxoJen's swatch of Painted Sabotage: Gargle Blaster

It is described by Chrissy as: "A mint green shade with a slight shimmer, accented with fuchsia, silver and gunmetal glitters."

I did some stamping over it, my stamping isn't perfect but I thought I'd share it anyway! I used plate Vl019 and my Creative Shop stamper with MDU 21 stamping polish.

Gargle Blaster reminds me of tiny budding flowers on a bed of soft greenery. I think it's perfect for the springtime season. What do you think of it?

Painted Sabotage: Flower inspired Holos

I've begun a new polish crush with Painted Sabotage polishes. The more of them I try, the more I fall for them. Her formulas are unchanging with every polish from glitter crellies to holos. Two thick or three thin effortless coats to reach opacity every time with every polish I have tried so far. These two holo polishes have a nice strong linear holographic effect and I feel they are the perfect shades to wear for spring and summer!

Amnesia is a beautiful mauve shade polish, named after Amnesia Roses. Depending on the individual some may say it's pink while others may say its purple when you look at this polish... is it pink or purple ... what was I saying... I forgot or do I have amnesia!
~Painted Sabotage

The flower, Amnesia Rose, is such a lovely vintage looking rose. My sister used these for her wedding and it was a beautiful ceremony. The polish is as beautiful and definitely looks different depending on lighting and skintone - it's one of those that morphs and is such a fun color to wear and share with your friends or family to see what color it leans on them!

Foliage and flowers which was my inspiration for Simbu Sunset and Amnesia. This is a beautiful coral holo polish, named after the Simbu Sunset flower. A light delicate coral shade perfect for summer!
~Painted Sabotage

What a beautiful flower! I had not seen these before so I googled them! I bet hummingbirds would love these with their bright coloring and trumpet style flower. When I wore this polish I kept thinking about these flowers and would imagine it being spring or summer instead of the bitter winter.

Painted Sabotage: Crellies

Two more pretty crellies from Painted Sabotage, the first one was called Love Poison. I just can't get enough of this formula of hers! It applies itself. So easy to control that I didn't do any clean up on the first one and very little on the second. The brushes are the classic small round brush and I like that her bottle label is coated so that oils / lotions don't mess them up. :)

Vaithrudnir (Vafþrúðnir) is the name of a frost giant that challenged Odin in Norse mythology, that was my inspiration when creating this polish. Picture a bluish grey with glints of ice and snow. You will find an assortment of blue, gunmetal, silver holographic and white glitters.

A beautiful slate blue with sparkles interspersed. Two coats to opacity, nice eh?

Gettin' Eggy Wit It is a neutral blend of colors with a tiny bit of sparkle. You will find bronze and copper through out with a slight gold sparkle in an almond shade base. Great for those days when you just want to be all warm and toasty and possibly with a glass of Eggnog!

This one reminds me of chocolate chip cookies and I started craving them while I was polishing! I used three thin coats just to make sure vnl was covered well for my photos, but I think two coats applied a little thicker would also work well.

I love the cool and neutral tones in these, they're soothing and then there's the burst of sparkle! Which is your favorite?

Painted Sabotage: Love Poison

Love Poison is the second polish inspired and co-created with the daughter of Chrissy from Painted Sabotage. She says that her daughter's love of My Little Ponies was the inspiration for this polish. Love Poison is a pretty pink with small pink dot glitter, a hidden golden shimmer, pink hexes and tiny square and micro gold glitters.

The formula is perfection for this crelly. It almost applied itself in three thin coats and has the perfect amount of glitter so that it doesn't get too chunky with that many coats. No dragging, clumping or streaking either. I think I've finally found a crelly formula that I love!

The listing for this particular polish says it's a Limited Edition, so if you want this one you may want to snag it soon!

The Painted Sabotage Etsy shop has quite a selection of polishes to choose from, including some beautiful holos. I have four other Painted Sabotage polishes to review, so be sure to check back at xoxojen.com!
