Polish Pickup: Misheard Song Lyrics - June 2023

Apple Dapple Doo
Apple Dapple Doo is inspired by the movie scene that features this song. Stage lights in fuchsia, red, and pink lighting an otherwise dim scene inspired this magnetic shade. A bold magnetic shows off hues of pink and fuchsia at most angles, with touches of peach and gold. A deep background subtly shifts from navy to purple and black, while a touch of micro holographic glitter adds a hint of sparkle. Shown in two coats magnetized with a wand magnet in two different directions.

A story quoted from Christy "I can remember the exact day my husband changed my world. It was a sunny Saturday and we were on a day trip. I was minding my business singing along to the 80s music station. Suddenly, he turned to me and asked what I was singing. I said, "A Prince song." With some exasperated noises he replied, “I know that, but what words are you singing exactly?” I told him “Apple dapple doo.” The puzzled look on his face turned into laughter as he said, “I Would Die 4 U!” It took some back and forth to realize that he was correcting my misheard lyrics. To this day, I still hear Apple Dapple Doo when listening to that song!"

Indigo Bananas: Disco Elysium Collection

Indigo Bananas is back baby! Andrea is bringing it with this jelly holo flake goodness themed around Disco Elysium, an adventure game. The collection launches May 12, with fan group early access on May 8 at 8pm ct. Every swatch below is two coats with topcoat - that is how packed and loaded with holo and flake these polishes are!



Some Kind of Superstar - a vibrant, almost raspberry pink jelly packed with holo pigment and flake



Tequila Sunset - a tomatoey red / coral jelly shade packed with holo pigment and flake. Please note color is not quite accurate, my camera oversaturates reds. It is a softer more coral leaning shade.



Caustic Echo - a bright chartreuse / limey green jelly packed with holo pigment and flake



Volta do Mar - a jewel toned teal jelly packed with holo pigment and flake. Makes for a fantastic accent with the pink one above!



Dolores Dei - a summer day's sky shade of blue which seemed a bit more like a crelly than a jelly to me, packed with holo pigment and flake



Jamais Vu - a grapey purple jelly packed with holo pigment and flake
