Underoos!

Do you remember Underoos from the 1980s?
I had a few when I was wee kiddo. Wonder Woman and R2D2 were my favorites. I wore them to sleep all the time; I even have an old a photo of me in my WW ones at my baby sitter's house!

So today I have a few polish underoos that I've worn under various glitter topcoats in recent reviews that I've done.

This is one of the two polishes in the Hot Topic duo set that had the Deborah Lippman dupe in it. Neither one had names, but isn't it a pretty shade of perwinkle?

This was worn underneath a PR Sample from Whimsical Ideas by Pam

Nanacoco's Irrestible Charm is a stunning one coater with a foil-like finish.

It was the perfect underoo color for a PR Sample from Pam.

Revlon Gumdrops is a polish I've had for at least a year, probably more. I had never worn it, so I chose it to go under a PR Sample from Pam.

And last today is my beloved Revlon Hazy. The perfect shade of grey for lots of glitter toppers!

What is your favorite underoo?

Guest Post at Globe and Nail

Today's blog entry is also my guest post over at Globe and Nail.
I was thrilled when she asked me to be her guest. Continue past the bar to read a copy of the post here or Hop on over to Globe and Nail!

I've become infatuated with Emma's reviews and swatches and I was over the moon when she asked if I'd do a guest post. -squee!!!- I recently acted on a purchase that Emma's swatches alone made me want; now that's a blogger with some magical fingers! The polish I'm referring to is A-England's St. George which she reviewed here in January.

My photos don't even compare to how beautiful her swatches are, but here's a bit more eye candy in my attempt to help sway the world!

Saint George is an absolutely beautiful deep teal polish. The color in this is so rich and pigmented; which also means be careful to avoid skin/cuticle contact with it, as it will stain. ;)

Saint George is a one coater. Completely smooth and completely opaque in one coat, yeah baby! It is a little on the thick side, so it takes a little extra time to apply but it was soooo worth it!

It has a subtle holographic sparkle. All these photos were taken indoors under a day lamp and I couldn't quite capture the holo sparkle. If you don't have this polish yet, it should be on your wishlist. Near the top. Srsly. :)
And since I can't leave well enough alone, I decided to top Saint George with Vivid Lacquer - You Are NOT My Nemesis.

I used two coats of YANMN and just LOOK at the blue sparkle it adds! The glitter topper contains turquoise diamonds, white shreds, and tiny iridescent shifting flakies.

The combo is pretty mesmerizing in person. I watched my fingers move under bright lights everywhere I went. Vivid Lacquer polishes are available through Etsy and you can follow the brand on Facebook. A England polishes are available through Llarowe and the A England website, or you can follow the brand on Facebook.

Darling Diva Rescue Me and Electric Sex

I recently did a review of Darling Diva's Rescue Me swatched over blue and I have a swatch for you to see over Revlon Hazy which is a mid to light grey cream.

I wore one coat of Rescue Me and it was fairly easy to apply. I only needed to shift a bar or two away from the free edge. Topped with Gelous and Seche Vite, its smooth to the touch. The holographic hearts, white squares and the touch of pink shimmer all make this polish unique. Plus, the proceeds are donated to a good cause.

Next is Electric Sex which is a black jelly filled with gold glitters; circles, holo hexes, and micro.

I wore two coats on its own on all fingers except the ring finger where I wore it over a black cream. It was very easy to apply and I received a lot of compliments when I wore it.

You can find these polishes and more at Darling Diva's Etsy shop or follow her on Facebook.
