Scofflaw: David Bowie's Bulge

Yes, friends I have David Bowie's Bulge. On my nails. -cheesy grin-

I picked this up at the most recent Polish Con in Chicago. I couldn't pass it up and now I'm sharing the results!

From seeing pictures online of this polish, I didn't quite understand its popularity. But when I saw it in person, I had to have it!

The super bright red-orange crelly peppered with royal blue glitter is certainly eye catching and super fun to wear!

I'm loving this trio! I cannot choose a favorite, but I will say that last one has really caught my eye for how unusual the color is. The formula on all three was good, opaque in two coats and easily removed when it was time.

Mark your calendar for October 20 at 7pm Central so you can get yours at the Scofflaw Varnish shop!

Road to Polish Con: Scofflaw, Leesha's Lacquer, Supernatural

The Road to Polish Con is back as a preview for the September 23 Polish Con event in Chicago. I am delighted to be involved again as both Director of the event and Official RTPC Blogger! If you missed the NYC Road to Polish Con, you can find photos and links here.

I and five other “official” Polish Con Bloggers and Swatchers are sharing each polish with you first! We'll adventure together down the Road to Polish Con every Thursday for a full eleven weeks.
The polishes release Sunday morning at 8am central, will be available to pre-order for one week, and then the shop is refreshed with different polishes for the next launch.

Leesha's Lacquer Pier Pressure
A black with a slight purple shimmer with orange/pink flakies and a scattered holo

I sponged on the second layer of this polish to show the flakies better for photos. I also sandwiched a coat of gelous between coats of quick dry topcoat to get a glassy smooth shine. The flakes weren't textured to the touch, but there were visible spots shown in the macro shot that looked sunken where the flakes were. Difficult to describe, but additional clear/top fixed that right up.

Each of these polishes have good formulas and easy application with little clean up. Shown is two coats for each polish pictured.

I hope you've enjoyed the review and photos - snag yours this Sunday morning after 8am Central over at http://polishconvention.bigcartel.com/products. They're available 8/6-8/12, and if you haven't already, join the Polish Con facebook group to stay informed.
