UN-Valentine Collaboration Box

xoxoJen's swatch of Turtle Tootsie Un-Valentine collaboration box
The box contains five full size bottles of Indie brand polishes one each from Turtle Tootsie, 77 Nail Lacquer, Cupcake, Bear Pawlish and Glisten & Glow.
You'll notice the box is meant to be satirical, especially with the clever names they've come up with! There is a surprise in the box but I've been sworn to secrecy! Ok ok - it's a special chocolate but I can't say more than that!

The box will be available for pre-sale beginning at 9am Central on January 3rd and goes through the 17th at Turtle Tootsie Polishes.

It's Not Me, It's YOU! is a berry pink linear holo with teeeeeny iridescent flakes inside. It's quite unique in my collection and this is the first time I've tried Turtle Tootsie polishes. Color me impressed! I wore two coats and topcoat, formula was smooth and easy to control.

I Love You, Not! is a super squishy red jelly that deepens a bit with the second coat. It's packed full of iridescent and holographic microglitter. Red polishes typically freak my camera out and this is the case here - it needs to be seen in person to see its full beauty. I wore two coats, formula is thick but manageable if the first coat is allowed to dry before the second.

I Bought It Myself is a coppery colored jelly packed full of golden holo microglitters. The end result is a coppery super sparkly nail polish!
I wore two coats and topcoat, formula was easy to apply and fairly smooth for a microglitter.

Single and Ready to Mingle is a denim-like shade of blue with a vibrant linear holo rainbow. I found the formula to be great and wore 2 coats with topcoat.

Table For One is a charcoal jelly filled with tiny holo glitters. The jelly darkens to black as it's layered in two coats. As with other Bears I've tried, the formula is smooth and easy to apply.

Bear Pawlish: Fall With Me

This fall collection from Bear Pawlish is absolutely stunning so I won't waste any more of your time with an intro, let's go!

Buried In the Garden has such depth! I'm lovin this jelly style polish with chrome flakes and holo flair, together they create a complex, yet beautiful polish! I would love to see more in this vein from Bear Pawlish! Two buttery coats and topcoat were worn for photos.

Baby Bears Breath is stunning, not only because of the holo sparkle and purpley shimmer, but also the almost smokey shade of pink in the base. I don't think I've seen anything quite like this before! Just two coats gets you to opacity.

In Love With Bad is pure seduction on the nail. Deep, vampy sultry - it's all that and a bag of chips! Great formula, opaque in one coat; however I used two coats for the sake of photography.

I added a sexy lacy design with plate VL028 from Vivid Lacquer. bow-chicka-wow-wow! (shaking my head at my sillyness!)

Aurwens Violet was inspired by one of Tennessee's favorite flowers, the Dahlia. This beautifully rich shade of violet is my favorite of the collection. The formula is easy to control on the nail which equals very little clean up. It dries to a glossy finish and is opaque in one coat, but darkens with the second coat.

Bear Pawlish: Blast from the past!

I have a mixture of Bear Pawlish shades to share with you - the first was released in August and the other three polishes were once discontinued but brought back this month from the vault. All four are available in the shop right now!
I also have the fall collection that I'm reviewing in a future post, but the bottles are included in the collage below.

Bigger on the Inside is a dark denim style blue that looks lit from within where the holo flame bursts appear. Two easy coats that finish with a glossy shine make this polish outstanding.

Untamed is a shifty lil wench! She is so hard to catch in my usual lighting set up. I took a few extra photos to try and catch every shift she has. This polish reminds me of the leaves changing color from green to yellow and red and finally to brown. Two coats with topcoat were worn. As with most shifters/multichromes, the formula was fluid but a little fussy. I found that it is best to get the first coat on in as few brush strokes as possible to avoid drag. This paves the way for the second coat which was very easy to apply. I also like the small flat brushes, they allow for easy control of the polish on the nail with very little clean up.

Is It Puce?
I didn't expect to love this one as much as I do. It totally reminds me of when leaves are turning from green to yellow and orange to kick off the fall season.
Two coats with topcoat, the formula for this one seemed less fussy when getting the first coat on with as few brush strokes as possible, the second coat was smooth and easy to apply.

Those colors!! I can't even. Purple, blue and everything in between!
Gender Bender is a shifter that was very photogenic! Not camera shy at all. I used two coats with topcoat, similar formula to the other two shifters.

Bear Pawlish: Bringing it back and new topcoat!

xoxoJen's collage of Bear Pawlish

Bear Pawlish is bringing back some much requested shades and I had the chance to swatch and share them all with you! In addition to these, she is also launching her quick dry top coat, Oso Quick! She'll be sending a bottle of that to me to try soon as well!

Jabberwocky is a multichrome shifter and she's a little camera shy sometimes, so I took a fourth image which captured all the colors in one image - blue, purple, and a coppery reddish shade. I wore three coats with topcoat for the images. The formula was good - it seemed to dry a little quickly for me so Tennessee is going to do a little tweaking so that the launch bottles will be perfect!

Luscious is also a multichrome shifter with blue, grapey purple and violet purple! I fell hard and fast for this one! The formula on this one is similar to Jabberwocky, but I only needed two coats for opacity and may have gotten away with just one. It's quite pigmented!

Luscious...in holo! Yep this is the same polish as above, but with holographic pigment added and is a new addition to Bear Pawlish's line up. The holo pigment lightens the shade of the polish a hare, beautiful isn't it?

May Flowers is a frosted salmon pearlescent shade that sometimes looks pink and sometimes peach. The close up images do show brushstrokes, but in person this looks like satin on the nail! I wore three coats with topcoat for the photos. The formula on this one was a little challenging in that it wanted to pull up when I ran the brush over the same spot twice. Once I got the first coat on the nail it was more forgiving and easier to apply. I think that perhaps my base coat (yellow stopper) just didn't get along well with it - which happens sometimes. :)

And I've saved my favorite for last, this is Poor Unfortunate Soul, a rich dark teal leaning green with a holographic effect. When I look at this polish it's like looking into something infinitely deep. I am totally wowed by this one and quite smitten by it! The formula is perfect, it practically applied itself. The only clean up I did, was to straighten out the curve near the cuticle just a tad on a couple of nails.

All five of these polishes plus the new topcoat will launch May 1 at 11am Central time in the Bear Pawlish shop!
