LynB Designs: Only Murders In The Building

LynB Designs new collection for this month is called Only Murders in the Building. The collection will be half off with code TWIST Feb 9th-13th, and then regular price afterward.
All swatch photos are shown in three coats with topcoat unless otherwise noted. No issues to report, formula was smooth and easy to apply.




Old Lady Energy- a mondernized creamy pink base with pink to gold shifting micro flakie shimmer. Get that fun frosty vibe, without the nasty brushstrokes vintage polishes are known for. When I swatched this I was felt like I was having a deja vu. I looked back at the Michigan Mysteries and sure enough, there's this beautiful pink but the shimmer and shift is totally different! So, if you loved that pink you will likely love this variation on it!




This is a Fun Twist- pastel grey super shifter with green to blue to purple shifting shimmer




Do You Have a Showstopper?- buildable purple tinted holo base with a rainbow of shifting flakies and silver reflective glitter. I don't recall this being tough to remove as some LRG polishes can be. LynB has a way with LRG that is enough for the vibe and not too much for ease of removal.




Embrace the Mess- warm toned taupey brown base with blue to purple shifting shimmer. Shown in two coats with topcoat.




Women Who Knock Rarely Make History- mustard yellow jelly based flakie bomb filled with red to orange shifting flakies and holo flakies




Alone Isn’t So Bad, I Like Alone- deep teal blue with intense green to blue to purple shifting shimmer and a touch of holo sparkle




The Secrets Are the Fun Part- dusty aqua base with purple to pink shifting shimmer




My Hobby Is Solving Murders- deep forest green with pink to gold shifting shimmer




These Are Our Proverbial Onions- deep purple base with purple to pink to orange shifting micro flakie shimmer and added holo flakies

Polish Pickup Feb 2024: Wild Animals

Available at Polish Pickup February 2-5 are a large variety of products from many different brands. I have items from KBShimmer and LynB Designs to share with you! Let's take a look at them!



KBShimmer Spotted
My middle school memories include iconic, colorful folders, trapper keepers, and notebooks boldly decorated with unicorns, kittens, pandas and leopards. Near-neon hues and fun drawings captivated us as preteens. I remember trading colorful stickers and saving my allowance to get the matching pencil case or stationery.

Spotted is an array of neon-colored circle glitters and black circle and leopard spot glitters. For best results, pull your brush straight out of the bottle and dab glitters on the nail. Each Spotted nail polish comes with a small baggie filled with extra leopard spots for manual placement. Shown in one coat over KBShimmer's "Caught On Tape" which is a pale beige cream. All of it is topped with Smooth Moves and Clearly on Top. I placed the leopard spots for this manicure.




KBShimmer Sweet Cinnamon Roll Scrub
Waking up in the morning to the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls baking is wonderful. The warm gooey breakfast comfort food is the inspiration for the Sweet Cinnamon Roll Sugar Scrub. The deliciously scented scrub features top notes of cinnamon and hints of caramelized brown sugar and nutmeg. I pick up a faint whiff of melty butter and baked bread which makes this scent truly authentic.

Drunk Fairy: Ah Baloney!

As promised, below is another of the polishes I recieved from Drunk Fairy polish.

Ah Baloney!
A very light white pink crelly with a strong ultra aurora shift from emerald to blue to violet. It's difficult to capture this under luminous studio lights. In the shadows, though and regular house lights the shimmer is definitely more apparent to the eye. The formula was a bit tricky, similar to other white polishes. Fewer brush strokes during application is the key for a smooth beautiful finish.
