Blush Lacquer: A Moon Across The Sea

Blush Lacquer's contribution to the upcoming Polish Pick up is inspired by the The Moon of Baroda Diamond.
It releases on Friday, January 5th at 11am EST to Monday, January 8th at 11:59pm EST at polishpickup.com

A Moon Across The Sea: A sheer but build-able champagne colored holo with yellow-green-blue shifting iridescent glitters of varying sizes.
I wore three coats, two was just slightly too sheer for photos but I think would have been fine for wearing. The formula was fantastic and like a broken record I'm mentioning their stellar brushes. So soft and wonderful to apply polish with!

More about the inspiration:
The Moon of Baroda Diamond is a 24 carat pear shaped canary yellow diamond. It was originally part of the treasure of the Maharajas of Baroda, the royal family of Gaekwad for over 500 years. In 1860 it was fitted into a necklace and was sold to an unknown buyer in the 1920's. It was purchased by Meyer Rosenbaum in 1943 and displayed in an exhibition in 1944. In 1953 it was worn by Marilyn Monroe in the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes while she sang "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend". She also wore it during the promotional campaign of the movie and it was the largest diamond she ever wore in her lifetime. In 2008 it was displayed publicly at the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. The authentic Moon of Baroda is appraised at $1.9 million, however many replicas have been made of it and it's true location is now unknown. It is rumored that if the Moon of Baroda is carried across the sea, it brings back luck to it's owner.

Heading into the New Year, this is my last post for 2017! Such a beautiful polish to end and begin the New Year with! Happy Near Year all!

Leesha's Lacquer: Liza Spinel-y

Leesha's Lacquer's contribution to the upcoming Polish Pick up is inspired by Spinel Minerals, which are super shiny and sparkly in their gemstone forms.
It releases on Friday, January 5th at 11am EST to Monday, January 8th at 11:59pm EST at polishpickup.com

Liza Spinel-y is described by Leesha as a super sparkly purple based polish with a packing of sparkles and flakies. All of Leesha's polishes are 5-free, vegan and cruelty free.

I find this polish to be a soft shade of orchid, and like the description super freaking sparkly! I wore two coats with topcoat for photos and the formula was easy to apply, with very little clean up!

This does have a cap of 150 bottles, so if you love it grab it quickly! If I didn't already have a bottle, I'd be getting it.

As with all LitLaq formulas, these were buttery snooth and nearly applied themselves. I hope you've enjoyed this 'adventure down the rabbit hole' with me!
