Girly Bits: Fan Favorites

Girly Bits relaunched the fan favorites a while back, and the below is a recap of those polishes. Some are still in stock while others sold out. Are these your favorites too?

Fathomless is originally from the Season of Sparkle Collection, which launched in December 2012 and was an early fan favourite with its squishy and mysterious deep green base, and iridescent blue to green shifting microglitter. Fathomless was retired in August 2015. Two coats shown with topcoat, the formula was good.

Destined to Meet Again is a re-launch of Serendipity, which was one of her most popular polishes from the exclusive A Box Indied, originally launched in March 2015. It is a soft glowing linear holo, with copper/red flakes, and lovely pink metallic glitter. Two coats shown with topcoat, the formula was good.

Pocuscadabra is a re-launch of the much loved Abracapocus, originally an exclusive from the Oct 2015 Beauty Quartet box. It is a stunning green shimmer and holo blend, with microglitter accents in orange, purple, green holo, and black holo. Two coats shown with topcoat, the formula was good.

Fatal A-tractor (purchased) is a re-launch of the ever popular Grandma Got Run Over by a John Deere, from the Dec 2016 Colour of the Month Duo. It is a lovely pine green crelly base with a squishy depth, a strong pink/copper shift, and it's swimming with teeny tiny holographic microglitters. Two coats shown with topcoat, the formula was good.

Shift Happens (purchased) is a dramatic colour shifting topper in a sheer red-purple base, also known as UP, or Unicorn Pee.

This particular pigment is no longer manufactured, and is VERY scarce, and hard to find. In 2011 Pam bought a sizable amount of this magical pigment, and when her stock got low she pulled it from the store. She was recently able to purchase some on the secondary market and recreated the polish, but it is currently out of stock.

I created this look by stamping with Girly Bits Love Yourself First over a base of Girly Bits Dark Reflection and then topping it with Girly Bits Shift Happens.

For this next one, the stamping was done with Jolie Rose Gold over Girly Bits You Look Mauvelous and then topped with Girly Bits Shift Happens.

Pam is so creative, I always look forward to seeing what she will make next.

Finger Paints: Cosmic Chaos

Finger Paints released a holo collection in early fall. I picked up the dark blackberry syrup holo shade and I'm glad I did.

Cosmic Chaos is a one coat wonder and although it is super dark, the holo can be seen under bright lights, like in an elevator. The formula was smooth and easy to apply. The wear time was great, no chips in sight after a week, just light tipwear.

Shown is one coat. I didn't think of this at the time, but sometimes swiping the nail with acetone will reveal the holo a bit more.

Girly Bits: Strapless

Girly Bits released the Bridal Bliss collection of beautiful creams this summer. On my blog today is Strapless, a gorgeous putty colored neutral. Pam describes it as a lovely pink leaning blush taupe creme.

I wore two coats for photos. The formula is super creamy and buttery. If you're heavy handed this could be a one coater. It also stamps well over any shade, but looks best over lighter colors.

When I wear a cream, I get inspired to do nail art. I chose a camouflage pattern from UR Sugar plate L014. Using Strapless as my base, I stamped over with Girly Bits Acornucopia, a red based brown. Then with Girly Bits Goodbye-bye, a grey leaning olive green. And finally, topped it with a matte topcoat.

The result is the ultimate disguise!

Well, not really but I was pretty darned pleased with it.
