Polish Palette:Beachy Mystery

Review edited 12/7 to reveal the makers.

The Polish Palette is coming back with a fun 'mystery brand' twist and beachy theme! All the blogger polishes are packaged in Tonic bottles from top to bottom label, but your order will be packaged in the actual brand's packaging. Can you guess which polishes Rogue or Tonic made? This set of four launches September 14th at 8pm central at the Rogue Lacquer website.

Fintastic by Rogue Lacquer
Described as teal, but this looks like a true green holo under my light at my desk and my photo lights. It contains super micro scattered holo glitter and linear holo pigment. I found it very easy to remove and did not stain. Is this perfection or what?
Shown in 2 coats with topcoat.

150 Degrees by Tonic
A creamy coffee base packed with red/green/gold shifting pigment. Shown in two coats with topcoat.

Resting Beach Face by Rogue
Gotta love that punny name! Starts with a very light creamy blush base, packed with UCC flake and coppery shimmer. Shown is two coats with topcoat.

Barnacles by Tonic
A translucent base packed with a array of iridescent shifting flakes. It has a matte finish, which I love! I'm showing it in one coat over the other three polishes.

Lollipop Posse: I Make Things Want Things

Launching August 13, 11pm Central time is Lollipop Posse's HHC exclusive and limited edition polish. Inspired by a character named Desire from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels.

I Make Things Want Things
A tinted holographic flakie base filled with red/gold/green shifting multichrome pigment and red/gold shifting ultra chameleon chrome flakes.
No Cap

There's something so tranquil about the tone of this polish and then you can see the flake and sparkle dancing on your nails like fire!
The composition is spectacular and complex, a work of art in a bottle.

Shown is two coats with topcoat. The formula is great, and to be honest, Lollipop's polishes seem to have really good wear time for me. I've never been disappointed with them in this area.

Girly Bits: Strapless

Girly Bits released the Bridal Bliss collection of beautiful creams this summer. On my blog today is Strapless, a gorgeous putty colored neutral. Pam describes it as a lovely pink leaning blush taupe creme.

I wore two coats for photos. The formula is super creamy and buttery. If you're heavy handed this could be a one coater. It also stamps well over any shade, but looks best over lighter colors.

When I wear a cream, I get inspired to do nail art. I chose a camouflage pattern from UR Sugar plate L014. Using Strapless as my base, I stamped over with Girly Bits Acornucopia, a red based brown. Then with Girly Bits Goodbye-bye, a grey leaning olive green. And finally, topped it with a matte topcoat.

The result is the ultimate disguise!

Well, not really but I was pretty darned pleased with it.

What do you think of Strapless?

Rogue Lacquer: Wilds of Arizona pt. 2 and Not Your Average Holiday Duo!

Do you remember the first set of Wilds of Arizona from Rogue? I have reviewed the second set and a new holiday duo that are both releasing on Thursday 11/22 at 10pm central along with a special Black Friday sale! (more details at end of review)

xoxoJen's swatch of Rogue Lacquer Wilds of Arizona pt. 2 and Not so your average Holiday Duo!

Wilds of Arizona pt. 2
I wore two coats of each polish in this set. As we have come to expect from Rogue, the first coat is slightly sheer and the second coat builds opacity. I wore topcoat over each, and the formulas for all four were fluid and easy to apply.

Antelope Canyon: cranberry scattered holo crelly with red, copper, Bronze, silver ucc flakes

I find the Wilds of Arizona pt. 2 set to be perfect for just about any holiday; Christmas, Thanksgiving, Winter, Valentines Day, even Spring. Quite versatile and a great addition to your polish collection.

Not Your Average Holiday Duo!
Can I just say wow right now? These next two polishes have a shockingly vibrant shimmer in them that can be seen in both bright and low lights. Both polishes are shown in two coats, have good formulas and were easy to apply.

Twisting Nether: Holiday Collection

I'm excited for the opportunity to share a new to me brand with you, Twisting Nether. She has a bangin Black Friday sale, a new collection (shown below) and many more polishes for us!

If you like what you see, head over to her shop for the Black Friday sale and try a few!

I enjoyed the formulas for all of these, smooth, fluid, almost buttery-like. No streaks, no clumps, no goo - just smooth easy application. The bottles are equipped with squared-off flat brushes which allow great control over where the polish lands on the nail (less clean up, yay!).

Kasi has made twelve different polishes for us, from toppers to crellies, even a vampy multichrome! There is something for everyone in this holiday collection releasing on Black Friday.

xoxoJen's swatch of Twisting Nether Holiday Collection

Peppermint Twist
White crelly with matte minte and red glitter, holo micro flake
2 coats shown, very smooth application, no streaks. For complete vnl coverage, 3 coats recommended.

Milk and Cookies For Santa!
White crelly with brown glitters in different sizes and red and green holo glitters
2 coats shown, very smooth application, no streaks. For complete vnl coverage, 3 coats recommended.

Freshly Fallen Snow
White base with silver galaxy glitters, aqua and purple sparks, blue-purple-indigo cc flakes and purple-blue iridescent glitters
2 coats shown, very smooth application, needs a little more care than the crellies for application but overall not streaky and easy to apply.

Frosty
Holo base with light and dark blue holo glitter mix and white matte glitter in different sizes.
2 coats shown, I like the look of it this way but you could also sponge it on for an even more dense look. Also works well as a topper.

How The Ghosts Stole Christmas
Gold and silver shimmer base with gold, red and green holo glitters and mini red and gold holo stars.
2 coats shown, I like the look of it this way but you could also sponge it on for an even more dense look. Also works well as a topper.

Sugar Plum Fairy
Clear base filled with purple, pink, lavender and magenta galaxy glitters, violet-pink-gold ucc flakes and purple-red aurora shimmer
2 coats shown with topcoat. Such a pretty glitter bomb! Loving it this way, but also works well as a topper.

You're a Mean One
Trithermal: Dark green when cold to medium green to light green when warm. Filled with holo, gold galaxy holo glitters, red/gold aurora shimmer, copper-red-green-gold and copper-green-gold chameleon flakies.

2 coats shown with topcoat. This is my first trithermal and it was so much fun to watch it shift and change as I dunked it in ice water. My hands are almost always hot, so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to capture all three shades, but the change was gradual enough that I was able to see all of them for good amount of time. What a fun polish!

Winter's Kiss
Trithermal: Purple when cold to sky blue to light blue filled with p urple-blue-indigo crystal chameleon flakies, holo flakes, silver galaxy holo glitters, holo and aqua and purple sparks.

2 coats shown with topcoat. This is my first trithermal and it was so much fun to watch it shift and change as I dunked it in ice water. The three colors of this one lasted for a good amount of time just like the green one, so it was fairly easy to shoot. What a fun polish!

Happy New Year!
Thermal: Black when cold to clear when warm. Filled with holo, red/gold aurora shimmer, gold flakes, gold galaxy holo glitters.
2 coats shown with topocat. Although the description says this is black, it is more of a warm brown/black to my eye. I suspect the glints of red and gold play this trick on me, but I love it. :)

Holly
Green base with holo pigment, holo flake, silver holo glitter blend, and silver galaxy holo glitter.
2 coats shown and I quite like the finished look here, for a more opaque look add another coat.

Jolly
Red base with holo pigment, holo flake, silver holo glitter blend, and silver galaxy holo glitter.
2 coats shown with topcoat, sister to the above polish. The two would look great together with some nail art!

The North Pole Of Course!
Blue-aqua-purple multichrome with holo and silver galaxy glitters
2 coats shown, formula was great. I find the shift more apparent as I switch between different sources of light from bright to dim.

Nailart! I stamped snowflakes from MR-01 with Joss Blue Shimmer over Freshly Fallen Snow then topped with Frosty for a beautiful wintery manicure.
I've shown it both glossy and matte because I couldn't decide which way I liked it more. Which is your favorite?
