Hella Handmade Creations: December 2025

I'm thrilled to be back to share some exciting previews for the December Hella Handmade Creations event! Launching on December 14th, this month's offerings include a fantastic selection of polishes and other unique beauty and scented products.

The polishes I have to show you cover a beautiful spectrum of finishes, from jellies loaded with shifting flakies to shimmers with holographic effects. Tincture Duo (30 cap)
By The Fireside - Orange blossom and juniper berries with spiced clove, rich sandalwood, smooth leather, violet musk, and amber. Tincture Duo - Sweet mix of chamomile tea, bergamot, cocoa, cinnamon, rose, amber, moss, musk, and sandalwood.
Cozy Nights - Sweet mix of chamomile tea, bergamot, cocoa, cinnamon, rose, amber, moss, musk, and sandalwood.

Enchanted Baubles - Sheer white shimmery base with violet/pink/peach (green/blue/gold at extreme angles) shimmer, silver reflective glitter, and a dusting of malachite blue micro glitter. 300 cap




I Have A Problem with My Licker (duo) - Pinky sheer base loaded with pink to silver metallic flakes and Ghost flakies. Perfect by itself or top it over It’s Ruff Under the Covers. 150 cap

All of my swatches are shown in two thick coats with topcoat and had no formula issues unless otherwise stated. All photography uses a neutral color temperature bulb with white bounce card. My nails are natural with no enhancements and no blurring/cream base, I have a fairly prominent VNL.

Believe: Sound the Alarm

What? Jen is reviewing something that's not indie? Yes, indeed! I have loads of mainstream polishes, it's what my collection started with in 2008; way back when indies did not exist.

This mainstream polish from Believe is more modern though. I swatched it last year, within about week of having purchased it. I saw it in a nail group and had to have it! The reason I needed that shade is because it reminds me of a custom tailored suit my mother made for me. The fabric I chose for it was a huge floral with golds, yellows, oranges, and greens. The lining and skirt that she made to go with the coat were this bright shade of orange.

Although the polish may look more red on some devices, it is definitely orange. I'd call it a bright red-orange, kind of like the crayola. Shown below is two coats with topcoat and a photo of it with matte topcoat. The formula was very fluid, not streaky at all but I had to take care with loading the brush and application as it would easily flood near the skin.

After about four days of wear, it began chipping. This is about half the wear time I usually get from other polishes. I'm still super happy about being able to add the shade to my collection. It's a bit nostalgic, as I no longer have the suit my mom made. It's also great color for summer time which is just around the corner!

kbshimmer: Essentials

Every nail polish aficionado needs a one coat black and a self leveling white cream in their arsenal and kbshimmer has just created some with all new formulas!
Since I'm sharing these two new polishes, I thought I'd also mention other essentials I use like their Mont Bleu Crystal file and logo vegan clean up brush. You can get them all at kbshimmer along with other beautiful polishes, hand care, and nail tools.




Total Eclipse
A new, one-coat black cream. The new polish features a new fan brush with curved edges for easy application.
Shown in one coat with Clearly on Top topcoat. I'm so happy to see this brush type at kbshimmer! It's my favorite shape because application is effortless with it!






White Here White Now
A new and improved white with better coverage and improved leveling over kbshimmer's original white cream. This new polish also has the fan brush that I love.
Shown in two coats with Clearly on Top topcoat. I have always struggled with white polish, even those that are said to be easy to use. This one is on the better end of white polishes I've tried. If you're used to white being a streaky clumpy mess and you're looking for something better, give this one a try! I think you'll be glad you did.

Cyrstal File & Clean Up Brush

The file is made of high quality Czech tempered glass, with the grit acid etched into the glass for a long-lasting file that can be washed and reused over and over again. The fine grit is powerful enough for shortening and reshaping nails, but not so harsh that it causes peeling or tearing. These crystal files are full-sized at 135 mm (5.3 inches) inches long and 2 mm thick. They are made by Mont Bleu and come in a black velvet sleeve. They are imprinted with the KBShimmer logo in brushed silver.

The brush has vegan, nylon bristles that are acetone resistant and ideal for detailed clean up. The aluminum barrel is silver-toned and features a secure cap to protect the bristles. The handle is rhinestone filled and printed with the kbshimmer logo.
To use, dip the bristles in acetone and swipe away polish from around the cuticles. Be sure to re-dip periodically to keep the brush clean, else the polish may transfer back onto the skin. I like to use a paper towel to wipe the brush between dipping in acetone.
