A shimmery and sparkly microflake. You'll need sunglasses to look at this in the sun. It looks white but technically it is silver.

Super sparkly, it glistens under just about any lighting! Wear on its own or over other shades. Shown in two coats with topcoat, and in one coat over navy blue.

Polish Pickup: Halloween

The theme this month for Polish Pickup is Halloween! Launched Sept 4 at 10am Central through Sept 7, 11pm Central. A heap of fantastic brands have offerings this month, and I have some of them to share with you!




Alter Ego Nothing Good Happens After Midnight
A deep midnight blue jelly, reminiscent of the sky after midnight where cauldrons are being stirred, cackling is heard with the recitation of wicked spells.

Alter Ego Spooky Soap
Made with a light fresh scent, not too floral. Suitable for a wide variety of noses!
Made with Cynthia's signature formula of unrefined shea butter, unrefined kokum butter, babassu oil, castor oil and enriched with Vitamin E oil. Each bar is at least 3.5 oz when cut. (cure time may reduce weight as moisture evaporates from each bar)

KBShimmer Light My Fire
Inspired by cool nights and bonfires, this polish will spark warm memories. The blackened base is filled with multichrome flakes that shift between orange, red, gold, and copper depending on the viewing angle. The magnetic pigment shows off a similar spectrum, with rusty oranges, golden yellows, and burning red tones. Use a magnet to show off the flakes and a fiery pop of flame-like color. The polish also has a scattering of micro holo flakes to add a little sparkle.

Shown with two coats, no topcoat. I used a bar magnet to get the diagonal line effect.






KBShimmer Apple Harvest sugar scrub
The fragrance begins with notes of apple and then gives way to a sugary, creamy caramel note accented by subtle traces of cinnamon and stewed pears. I totally get caramel apple when I sniff and then this sort of creaminess becomes more noticeable as I keep sniffing it. This is one of those that you'll close your eyes and smile when you smell it.

Beautifully vibrant blue shade and those pink shifting flakes show through so well! I love a good blue/pink combo and this one delivers.






Such spooky polishes! These brands have outdone themselves again!
Each polish is shown in two coats with glossy topcoat unless otherwise stated. Formula for each was good, as I typically find with indie polishes.

KBShimmer's Endless Summer collection celebrates the little things that can help us enjoy this unique summer, like grilling, popsicles and Taco Tuesdays! The nail polishes consist of eight jellies in bold shades accented by color-shifting flakes. Launching on July 3rd!




A Love-Heat Relationship - A pale champagne jelly base with shifting flakes in shades of orange, gold, green, and at extreme angles, aqua. Micro holographic flakes catch the light for a color that really sparkles in the sun!






Anything Is Popsicle – A pink-leaning cherry jelly base, loaded with micro holographic and rainbow color-shifting flakes.






Are You Kitten Me? – An orange jelly with shifting flakes in copper, gold and green. Tiny holographic flakes add a loose linear sparkle.






Living My Zest Life – a golden yellow jelly loaded with color-shifting flakes and micro holo flakes.






Something To Taco ‘Bout – A chartreuse jelly loaded with color-shifting flakes from cheddar orange to guac green as well as micro holographic flakes.






Pretty Shore – Aqua blue in hue, this jelly is loaded with color-shifting flakes that show off shades of orange, gold and green. Micro holo flakes sparkle in bright light like the sun reflecting off the water.






Zoom With A View – A not-quite-purple, but also not-quite-royal-blue shade of periwinkle. The flakes have a prism of hues from coppery reds to bright aqua to lime greens and micro holographic flakes.






Hanging With My Grill Friends – A charcoal jelly with color-shifting flake and micro holo flakes





All of my swatches are shown with two coats of polish and one coat of topcoat. The formula for each of them was smooth and easy to apply. I am loving the new flat rounded brush, it gets really close to the cuticle with very little clean up needed.

Lollipop Posse: The Jabberwock (Anniversary Quad)

May Anniversary Quad: The Jabberwock
A set of four neon, flakie-filled jellies inspired by the poem “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll.

Karen of Lollipop says, "I've always loved reading this poem because of Carroll’s nonsense language that somehow quite makes sense. Some nonsense shades for these off-kilter times we’re living in!"

The collection releases at lollipopposselacquer.com on Saturday, May 16th @ 6p CT.
Limited quantities will be available based on stock on hand, but will be restocked as needed. Complete sets will be offered at a discounted rate for one month after release date.



All swatches are shown in two coats with topcoat. The formula is fantastic and finish is super squishy looking! I also tried a matte topcoat on them, and I like how they look that way as well.


All Mimsy is a neon, deep purple jelly filled with iridescent flakes that shift from bright pink to gold to purple.

Oh Frabjous Day is a soft, neon pink jelly filled with flakes that shift between orange, red, and gold.

I have been craving jellies lately and these are so squishy with great coverage. Perfect vibrant summer shades. They delivered!
If I were to choose a favorite, it would be All Mimsy, a fantastic shade of purple and the flakes just pop!
