IYKYK (If You Know, You Know) Collab Duo

A fun duo collaboration between Glisten & Glow and Victorian Varnish is launching September 13 at 8am central at both shops. The IYKYK (If You Know, You Know) duo is inspired by shenanigans had at Polish & Beauty Expo.




Glisten & Glow Camels & Cucumbers - A white based polish loaded with aurora color shifting shimmers that shift from green/aqua/blue and purple at extreme angles.




Victorian Varnish Moonshine & Memories - A stunning array of aurora shimmers in aqua/teal/blue/green with scattered holo and ucc flakies ranging from blue/aqua/teal/purple/red. Shown alone, but can be used as a topper.




Shown together, one coat of VV over two coats GG.




All of my swatches are shown in two thick coats with topcoat and had no formula issues unless otherwise stated. All photography uses a neutral color temperature bulb and white background with white bounce card. My nails are natural with no enhancements and no blurring/cream base, I have a fairly prominent VNL.

Holo Hookup: The Thankful Box 2019

The Holo Hookup brings us the Thankful Box with guest maker Turtle Tootsie! The box launches for pre-order October 21 at 8pm Central at The Holo Hookup and ends October 28 at 8pm Central.




Cupcake Thankful for Love
rich berry red linear holographic with a sprinkle of red and blue holo micro glitters. Two coats shown with topcoat.







Stamped with a whimsical heart design in copper metallic stamping polish.




Different Dimension Thankful for My Children
deep violet linear holographic with added UCC flakes, holo microglitter and holo mimcroflakies. Two coats shown with topcoat, although this one is quite opaque in one coat.







Stamped with a black holo and a light purple cream in a plaid design.




Glisten & Glow Thankful for Health
darkened midnight blue linear holo with added holo flakes, blue/teal, purple to pink, orange to red UCC flakes.
Shown in two coats with topcoat







Stamped with a gradient of fall creams in a leaf and acorn design.

Road to Polish Con: Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension, and Glisten & Glow

The Road to Polish Con is back as a preview for the September 23 Polish Con event in Chicago. I am delighted to be involved again as both Director of the event and Official RTPC Blogger! If you missed the NYC Road to Polish Con, you can find photos and links here.

I and five other “official” Polish Con Bloggers and Swatchers are sharing each polish with you first! We'll adventure together down the Road to Polish Con every Thursday for a full eleven weeks.
The polishes release Sunday morning at 8am eastern, will be available to pre-order for one week, and then the shop is refreshed with different polishes for the next launch.



Glisten & Glow Spirit of Chicago
Indigo Purple linear holographic polish with violet and blue shimmers and silver microflakes.





Cupcake Mystic Blue
Azure blue super linear holo with heavy green to blue shifting shimmers.





Different Dimension Odyssey II
a bright magenta pink linear holographic polish with hints of copper shimmers





Each of these polishes have good formulas and easy application with little clean up. They're opaque in one coat except for the Cupcake which has more of a jellyish base. I used two coats of each of these for photos.

Life's a Beach, When You're a Peach - Light peach linear holo with pink to blue shifting shimmers and peach microflakes
Shown is two coats with topcoat. Formula was smooth and crelly-like.






Take Me To The Water - Burnt neon orange with blue and pink shimmer.
Shown is three coats with topcoat. Formula was fantastic!






It's Getting Hot in Here - red with copper shimmer.
Shown is two coats with topcoat. The formula was very fluid and easy to apply.






Some Like It Hot. Neon hot pink with blue shimmer.
Shown is two coats with topcoat. Fantastic formula as with all CBLs I've tried.
Photos are not color accurate - the actual color is like a neon pink highlighter with blue shimmer. On my screen, my photos lean more blue than the actual color.
