KBShimmer: It's Fall About You

Autumn is the perfect season to enjoy the outdoors. Dressing cozy on a crisp morning with a worn pair of jeans, new boots, and warm jacket is sure to help you enjoy the cooler weather. Weekends are fun to spend shopping for picture-perfect gourds and giant mums to start seasonal decorating or visiting a fall festival to browse handmade crafts and fall foliage. A get together with friends to grab a cider donut or warm cup of soup could have you ending the day at a local farm walking through a corn maze or munching on fresh kettle corn in front of a bonfire. This September, KBShimmer brings you the It’s Fall About You collection with nine polishes inspired by all things autumn. Available at KBShimmer.com and other online retailers September 15th, 2023.

The Perfect Match – When cool weather hits, lounging on the couch with a good book and a flickering fall-scented candle can be the perfect way to unwind. With the strike of a match, wisps of smoke billow from dancing flames made of orange, yellow, and red, ready to illuminate the candle’s wick. The perfect match for a lazy fall day is letting the building candle scent and developing story take you away to a different world.
The Perfect Match is a sheer, but buildable shimmering nail polish. This pale, silvery-white shade hosts a color-shifting shimmer with fiery shades of coppery red, glowing peachy orange, warm gold, and lime. Amidst the shimmer is a glowing holographic flake, catching the light for a dash of rainbow sparkle. For a wash of color, wear in one to two coats, or build it up in three for a crelly-like finish. To make the red and orange hues really pop, use as a topper over deeper colors! Shown in two coats with topcoat.

Core Values – Every fall, tree branches are heavier with the added weight of the fruits of the season. Rows of richly colored apples invite guests to fill baskets full of ripe red globes to take home as seasonal treats. Orchards tempt roaming guests with warm drinks and freshly made apple butter, while hints of cinnamon wafting in the air have them dreaming of fresh apple pie and warm crumbles.
Core Values is a deep jewel-toned red nail polish that sparkles like dew-covered apples. This shifty shade subtly morphs from a deep red hue into maroon and brick tones. Extreme angles in some lighting may even show gold and deep pink hues. Shown in two coats with topcoat.

Patch Things Up – Heading to the pumpkin patch is a family tradition for many. Dressed in fall attire, fun cutouts and giant pumpkins make the ideal background for a family photo. A corn maze or hayride provides entertainment until it’s time to walk the patch in search of the perfect bright orange pumpkin. Later carved with classic triangles or intricate designs, pumpkins help light up the season.
Patch Things Up is a boldly pumpkin colored red-orange nail polish. This shimmery shade lights up with glimmering gold color shifts with hints of red, pink, and lime. Shown in two coats with topcoat.

I Can’t De-Cider – When there is a chill in the air, reaching for warm cider brings an instant cozy feeling. The apple flavor and blend of spice chases the cold away. Add a cinnamon stick and a fresh cider donut for a warming treat to help you enjoy strolling through a festival on the chilliest of days.
I Can’t De-Cider is a cider-colored multichrome nail polish loaded with holo glow flakes. Boasting a warm coppery base with hues of yellow, gold and lime, a deeper, near rust orange color can appear in certain angles and lighting. Silver holo flakes spark interest as they catch the light, giving a soft holographic effect. Shown in two coats with topcoat.

Go Big Or Gourd Home – Often found as decoration on stoops, the orange, green, and gold gourds are a staple of the autumn season. A perfectly squat and warty green gourd or those with long necks in shades of yellow and orange, each adds a uniquely shaped pop of color to your seasonal display.
Go Big Or Gourd Home is a shimmery pine green nail polish. Loaded with color-shifting shimmer, the sparkling, blue based green base quickly shows off pink, coppery orange, and warm gold tones. Some angles may even show hints of lime and aqua. Shown in two coats with topcoat. This is my favorite of the collection. I just love all the different shifts and the chunky shimmer particles, very much like those in Cool Beans from the previous Sugar Rush collection.

Ripped Apart – Straight leg, cropped, high-waisted, tapered, mid-rise, distressed or flared; buying a new pair of jeans can feel like learning a new language. Bluejeans today often emulate what used to happen to a well-loved pair over time, worn-in knees, rips, tears, and spots faded in color. These pre-ripped pairs are oh-so comfortable and perfect for the chilly fall weather.
Ripped Apart is a deep, navy-blue nail polish with maximum sparkle. Reflective glitter catches the light for a twinkling royal blue effect that amplifies the navy base color. Shown in two coats with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for the perfect glass-like finish. The brighter photos were taken with flash to show the sparkle.

Ready To Throw Down – No matter the season, many couches are littered with blankets and throws. In the summer, the air conditioner may feel too chilly and when fall and winter come, the warming cover of a down blanket can block the chill and wind from a briefly opened door. At the end of the day, a worn plaid throw is the perfect addition for snuggling on the couch and watching your favorite movie with friends. No matter what you throw down, finding a good blanket can leave you feeling warm inside and out.
Ready To Throw Down is a deep, navy-based magnetic polish loaded with twinkling holo glow flakes. A magnet pulls vibrant purple, fuchsia, and rose-pink tones to the forefront, while the deep base can look near black. Without a magnet, this polish’s purple hue shimmers and shines, showing off shifts to pink and salmon tones. Shown in two coats with topcoat, magnetized with a bar magnet diagonally. Although not mentioned, this shade also has a green shift as shown in a few of my photos.

Along For The Ride – Every fall, as skies darken to show off glittering stars, those who want to experience a bit of horror line up for a haunted hayride. Piled into tractor-pulled trailers, people's nightmares came to life. Riding along a dark, tree-lined path where chainsaw-wielding people and frightening monsters hide at the ready to jump out and scare attendees. Alien landing sites and abandoned homes set the stage for a night full of frights and memories.
Along For The Ride is a deepened purple multichrome nail polish. The grape-like color of this lacquer quickly morphs into burgundy and magenta tones nearing black at times, with some angles showing off warmer pink and fuchsia tones. Like stars twinkling in a late evening sky, holo glow flakes add bits of rainbow sparkle. Shown in two coats with topcoat.

Let The Beet Drop – You may be familiar with the phrase, "The early bird gets the worm." When you’re talking about a weekend Farmer’s Market, the early attendee gets first pick of the best produce. As late summer turns to fall, tomatoes and melons are replaced with root vegetables, gourds, and beets. Pickled beets and their rich color fill jars, adding to the autumn color palette.
Let The Beet Drop is a deep, purple-leaning, beet-colored reflective nail polish. In some lighting, the base color skews more mulberry or wine, while bright lighting brings out a stunning purple reflection, for the perfect shade that can easily transition from fall into winter. Shown in two coats with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for the perfect glass-like finish.
