Haus of Gloi Spring

hausofgloi.com

I ordered tons from the Spring LEs, and when I saw that the Lassi soap was restocked and she added lip balms I had to order again. :)
Lassi is the most wonderful fragrance for spring time. Here's the description:
Cool, fresh mango cream, Tunisian orange blossom absolute, black ginger to ground, splash of green tea and a soft squeeze of lime juice.
Its all that and a bag of chips! I have the scrub and pumpkin butter already, had to have the bar of soap too!

The lip balm I got was coconut cream, and its soo wonderful. It does not smell like a typical coconut, its warm and rich almost like a coconut rum or something, yet its very creamy like an almost buttery whipped cream. Its a wonderful scent and a really great lip balm. Its not greasy feeling like a lot of homemade lip balms are. Its got some solidity to it, not hard and waxy but like a good solid yet soft lip balm.

I love how they package everything, so I had to take photo of the box opening this time. Each product comes wrapped nicely in tissue paper with a seal. Its like Christmas to get a package from Haus of Gloi!

The perfume oil vials I got were Imp, Elevenses, Troika and then freebies in Absinthe and Zazz. I requested the Absinthe, but the Zazz was a total surprise!

• Absinthe - Hauntingly herbal. Wormwood and anise swim in a creamy green sea of lemon balm, green lemon, soft glowing mints, a hefty lump of sugar and the tiniest drop of suggestive deep green moss.
Very nice licorice like base, but not the sweet candy kind. This one is warm and almost comforting smelling. I get a bright top note of lemon which is really tart and juicy yet sweetened by the sugar. The mint hides in the lemon, and I'm still trying to pick up the mossy note, Based on other absinthe fragrances I've smelled, this one is truly unique!

• Elevenses - Tiny, little, fluffy orange cakes, sugar coated toasty almonds and a wee steaming cup of black tea!
This one smells to me like straight up licorice. Not what I expected, I'm wondering if its been mislabeled or perhaps my nose is broken!

• Imp - Peculiar passion fruit mingling with sun cured apricots, perfectly pink grapefruit juice and innocent whispers of wet mimosa blooms.
In the vial, this reminded me of a medicine I took when I was little, that I really hated taking. =/ I wanted to love this, so I tried it on and it changed so nicely! Its sweet and fruity, I can definitely smell the apricots and the mimosa blooms. Mimosa has a special sentiment to me. When I was growing up, those trees grew wild all over and I'd catch the blossoms as they drifted out of the tree, stick them to my nose and inhale like it was my last breath. I LOVE how mimosa smells, but there are none where I live now. This perfume brings back those wonderful memories. :)

• Troika – A trinity of soft milks, almond, oat and coconut, lashed with sweet agave nectar and the ethereal scent of clean white.
This perfume left me speechless. Really, its that fantabulous. I'm not kidding, I am getting pb, scrub, bar soap, and maybe even a big thing of the perfume oil - its on the top of my wishlist, so when I reorder Summer, I'm probably getting these too. I'd have gotten it with my Summer order but some of the products for Troika were out of stock.

• Zazz - When something feels a bit lackluster, dull and boring it is obviously lacking, zazz. To fix this we recommend something definitely zazzy and not overly complicated: Tart cranberry, pink grapefruit, sparkling champagne, all shook up with crushed ginger.
This is just as she says, very refreshing! I thought of some sort of candy when I first sniffed it, maybe those sweet tarts candies - but its not sugary sweet. Its tart and refreshing. Very very nice summer scent!

Added Hidden Treasure over my mani, and I am loving it!

Dang my nails grow fast, look at that gap! This is about ten days of growth from first painting. o.o
If you compare this photo with the one taken of just Steady as She Rose, you can see a difference still - which is about five days. The SASR photo was shot around three days or so after mani.

Sudsy's Bath and Body

EDP rollers in:

Confetti Frosting -I absolutely LOVE this one! (2nd fave)

Vanilla Laces - A very nice sweet vanilla, could pass for a light buttercream. I like it!

Vahine Heart - dupe of Coeur de Vahine, I have never smelled the original but I really like this! Its kind of a fruity/floral/musky vanilla. Very unusual!

Twigs & Berries - th...is is a common scent but I still love it, smells like its name - twigs and berries (leans more berry than twig though)

Mardi Gras - very fresh juicy fruity scent. I love it, great for summer!

Buttercream Cupcake - I get a crayola undertone with this one, will let it sit and come back to it in a couple weeks. Other than that, I think I'll like it!

Sugar Scrubs:

Lemon Mallows - hooooomg, this one is wonderful! So creamy marshmallowy smelling with just the right touch of lemon to brighten. I really like this!

Pink Macaroon - My new fave! I think I've found my HG foody scent! I can't say enough about how wonderful it is! Number one favorite in my order.

Body Sprays:

Cedar - This is a really nice kind of sweet cedar. I'm using it for linen spray or air freshener.

Plum Crazy - I sprayed this on after zumba today and its a really nice plummy / berry scent. Its sweet and juicy and cooled me off quick!

Bedtime Bathory - I got this one to use as linen spray and it smells just like the J&J baby bedtime bath. So relaxing!

Candied Hibiscus - this is my 3rd favorite scent. Really difficult to describe! Its a floral but it doesn't get heady or overpowering on me, it goes sweet like the "candied" in its name, yet its light and fresh/clean smelling too. I really like this one!

Clamshell tart in Sangria - On cold sniff I get fruit but its mellow like a fruit salad with whipped cream in it or something. Will have to see how it melts!

Freebies:

One that I am sworn to not mention.

Soap sample in Frank and Myrrh - yummy, smells like expected. The soap gets that velvety lather that I love so much from homemade soaps and the scent lingers. My hands felt clean and soft after using it!

Shooter in Raspberry Violet - a nice blend of soft floral and fresh raspberry on bottle sniff. I just tested it, and am mostly getting the soft sweet powdery violet scent. Oils tend to change a lot on my skin, you may have a different experience. :)

The real star here is Pink Mac, 2nd is Confetti Frosting and 3rd is the Lemon Mallows and Candied Hibiscus.

Shipping was super fast, less than a week from order to door. Refunded shipping difference to me and communicated awesomely! The Pink Mac was a blend that I requested, not on her scent list. Its now been added and is becoming a fave at the body board.

Edited this image in on 12/29/2018, of the comments from my flickr account. I wanted to preserve them since flickr is deleting all but 1000 images from free accounts, I would have lost these.
