Shimmer Me Box: Gold

The theme for the next Shimmer Me Box is gold shimmer and its release is on 12/15 at Native War Paints. The special guest this month is Bluebird Lacquer, who has a made a bright teal polish with golden shimmer. Formulas for each of these was fluid and easy to apply.

Yule Get Through This is a bright glowing green with a copper/gold shimmer. The polish almost looks like a duochrome with how the gold blends with the base and is glowy where the light hits it.
Shown is two coats.

Flame Ascending is deep burgundy red with intense gold shimmer.
Opaque in just one coat, but I used two coats to ensure even coverage and depth of color.

Ever Glow is a dark evergreen with gold shimmer and sparkling holo throughout.
Almost opaque in one coat, two shown.

Golden Gummy Bears is a bright pink jelly with gold shimmer.
I wore three coats, as this applies a bit sheer but in the end it has a nice depth of shimmer and color.

Holiday Stamping Nail Art

I decided to stamp over Salty Anon to create a festive holiday look.

xoxoJen's swatch of Bee's Knees: Salty Anon stamped

The red stamping polish is Foana from EDK, and I used a design from the Uber Chic Lovely Leaves plate.

After stamping, I added dots of snow with a dotting tool and Funky Fingers Gesso.

Bee's Knees: Salty Anon

Along with my recent purchase from Bee's Knees of FU** Cancer, I received a free gift of Salty Anon. This is a prototype, from what I understand, and was named as a sort of tongue in cheek response to the Acetone Alley facebook group's anonymous post.

The teal base and green shimmer and flake are a brilliant combination!
I love the soft brush in the Bee's Knees bottles, it makes application a breeze! Very little clean up.

Speaking of application, I wore two coats but might have been able to get away with one.

I topped this with KBShimmer's Clearly On Top fast dry topcoat for a glossy shine and carefree mani right before bed last night.
What is your favorite Bee's Knees polish?

Different Dimension and Girly Bits Nail Art

I just recently received a new Lina Plate, Lovely Leaves, and was immediately inspired to stamp my current mani of Different Dimension Lett's Not Mintion It.

xoxoJen's swatch of Girly Bits Stump Up the Jam stamping art

To stamp, I began by applying dots of Stump Up the Jam and Walnuts About You to my plate over the tree design. I mixed them with the scraper on the plate to get a two-toned tree look. The Girly Bits fall collection is amazing for stamping, so glad I have them!

To create a cherry blossom tree, I dotted a variety of pinks from MDU over the dots design on the same plate.

I layered the pink dots over the stamped trees and topcoated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

After that, I decided to top it with Shift Happens, one of my favorite toppers from Girly Bits. I even ordered another bottle during her recent sale. :)

I really love how it looks with the topper! It adds a coppery and sometimes pink or golden looking shimmer to the overall look. I really enjoyed wearing cherry blossom trees on my nails, they make me happy! They also remind me of New York and the short time I got to visit. What is your favorite nail design to wear?
