My Ten Friends

I first learned of My Ten Friends from a group blog called Rare Bird Finds. This is the entry that introduced me to the My Ten Friends polish line and shop which opened in October 2012. Mei Lynn is founder/owner/creator and she is inspired from all things space. Her creations "looked like liquid galaxies trapped in a glass bottle." My Ten Friends polish is 3-free, cruelty free and made in small batches
I've stalked her shop every release since she opened; sitting on the edge of my seat to see what she will create next!

For you today, I have two of the Kiss the Cosmos polishes from the Valentine Collection.

Lunar Lovesong is my favorite color palette of the five. Yep, you heard that right, I am choosing this one over the purple one! -gasp! shock!-

All MTF polishes go on easily and most of them are opaque in two coats, sometimes three. I wore two coats of Lunar Love Song over Sinful Colors Mint Candy Apple for these swatches.

Always jam packed with perfectly matched glitters, a real piece of art!

The green shimmery base in this polish is such a pretty shade and goes so perfectly with the red, pink and gold glitter.

Just look at all the shapes and sizes going on in here! I love it!

MTF polishes are absolutely beautiful, packed sparkle and shimmer and those big chunky hex glitters that I love so much!

Lastly, a macro to show all the shimmers and glitter shapes/sizes in here. Don't ya just love it?

Next is Hailing Frequencies Open, also part of Kiss of the Cosmos Valentine collection. It is a beautiful shimmer polish filled with pink, purple, red and holo glitters.

My Ten Friends says: "Hailing Frequencies Open" is dedicated to innovative women. Lt. Nyota Uhura in Star Trek used to say those words, and astronaut Dr. Mae Jemison, the first black woman in space, would begin each morning of her space mission with that line."

Application was lovely, the glitters spread out nicely and there were plenty on the nail.

I wore two coats of Hailing Frequencies Open over China Glaze Frosty.

The shimmers in the base look white to my eye, but the base is ever so slightly tinted a kind of pink/lavender. In bright lighting it looks white, but hold a piece of paper to it and its definitely got a very slight tint! The contrast between the base color and glitters adds that special pop that calls attention to the nail. I received some compliments when I wore this one!

And finally a macro shot for an up close personal look!

And Space Sauce!

Polishes are available for purchase on Etsy and you can follow MTF on Facebook. She has also recently created a landing page of sorts that showcases swatch photos, all her polish and more information about the brand and herself.

Won't you also visit these gals in the InLinkz below and add a link of your own?
